I have been designing jewelry and have had a website, www.jewelrybyrenee.com, since 2005. I have always been a creative person and have made and sold everything from ceramics, flower arrangements, decorated cakes, oil paintings to now jewelry. It has truly been my therapy during some tough times in my life.
In 2010 we lost our 30 year old daughter in a car accident and she left behind 3 young boys which we are raising. God blessed us in many ways to get us through that tragedy and one way was giving me my gift of creativity. Getting away and creating jewelry really was a therapy for me.
Another way God blessed us was saving our 27 year old son from the chains of addiction in 2013. He entered a ministry called The Refuge in 2013 and was not only healed from addiction but was saved and is now a responsible man of God. I now work as a volunteer with this ministry to help the families dealing with addiction. I am so thankful to God for providing such a ministry and 10% of all of my profits go to The Refuge.

They will be also opening a Women's Refuge by the end of 2017.

This past year I lost my mom who was my best friend. I read that crocheting is a great therapy for pain management because it causes the brain to think about something else. I tried it and now I am hooked on crocheting as well. No pun intended. :) I have added some of my Ruffles Scarves to my shop.
