So after receiving my purchase I was so happy to finally wear it until I noticed the charm fell off in a few days but I spoke to the maker (Doreen) and she immediately sent me a new one. She was very helpful and very nice about it all! So happy again to have gotten a replacement. I know wear both of them like if it were a set. I couldn't Be happier!!! Thank you again Doreen for caring for your customers❤️

About

Discover BeadsKnitsAndBits!

Hi, I'm BeadsKnitsAndBits

As a young child an aunt gave me the gift of knitting. In 2007 I began selling my scarves on Ebay. .

I love the patterns that form with simple strings of yarn and the help of two sticks.

Several years ago I was introduced to the patterns that could be made from tiny jump rings. That began my journey into chainMaille.

A little bit about my family. We live in beautiful downtown Decatur, Ga. Our son was diagnosed with autism at age 3. He is now 23 and has graduated. He has a rare chromosome abnormality, chromosome 15q duplication syndrome and as a result has severe autism, epilepsy and is functionally non-verbal. So that explains my Autism Awareness Puzzle Piece Jewelry. I would love to see every person have at least one bracelet or necklace to bring awareness to the cause of autism.

When our son was a toddler he was fixated on straws. He had to be holding one constantly. He would stick small straws into larger straws; he put straws into furnace and air conditioner grates, any little spot that a straw would fit. All of my reading told me to encourage your child’s interests and maybe it would be a job for them some day. I couldn’t imagine what kind of job Pavel would have that involved straws

One fall when Pavel was 8 yrs old we were working on some new crafts. I had a wire snowflake and I was amazed at how easily he could put the beads on a wire, even really small beads. His fine motor skills for handwriting, sign language, and drawing were poor, yet he was so agile and exact in placing the beads. I soon came to realize that the repetition of this fine motor skill with straws created a motor plan and he was able to easily shift from a non functional activity to one that is functional.

Sometimes when Pavel strings beads he hums. Just as he found relaxation putting straws into furnace grates and pulling them out as a toddler and young child, he now finds stringing beads relaxing.

Pavel has been perfecting his craft since age eight. He took a break during his teenage years and now he is back at it, better than ever.

You can find Pavel's art in the "Bits" category of our shop”. Pavel and I are on Etsy, Ebay and Facebook. Take a moment and “like” BeadsKitsAndBits on Facebook and keep up with Pavel's and my latest endeavors.

My name is Pavel. I work with mom in the "Bits" section of her shop. Mom designs the project and I follow the pattern, by stringing beads to make snowflakes and bracelets. I use the money I make to buy snacks and go bowling.
