About

Love to Knit

I am a stay-at-home mom of two little girls, Bean and Bug, living in Charleston, SC. My grandmother taught me to knit as a little girl and I have always loved the hobby. As my friends started having children, I began knitting baby clothes as gifts. Then I became a mom myself and was able to knit for my own girls. I have often been told that I should sell my knitting, so here it goes.

Update: Well, that was two years ago, and I can't describe what this little business has meant to me. It is certainly more of a hobby than a lucrative industry. But I am truly loving it. I have made baby items for Christenings, newborns coming home from the hospital, first grand children and many more special occasions. I love brainstorming with others to come up with the perfect gift for the little loved ones in their life. I love trying new patterns and shopping for yarns and I have enjoyed connecting with folks across the country

I am a yarn snob and only like to knit with high quality yarns. This can be rather pricey, but I try to find good bargains throughout the year (also another hobby of mine).

I put a lot of time into this business - way more than the profits would ever reflect. So to make it more fulfilling and meaningful for me, I have decided to donate all 2013 proceeds to charity.
