Janet and Jane Vintage

Janet and Jane Vintage is actually a one women show, though the name may have you thinking otherwise. Janet and Jane are my paternal and maternal grandmothers, and I, Sarah J, run this small shop from my vintage studio.

Selling vintage suits my personality. The hunt, the care, the display, and finally the sale. I want to help people find pieces that they love; pieces that help them express themselves. I'm a fan of anything interesting and unique, so you'll find a range of decades and styles in my shop.

I'm currently living in Atlanta, although I'm originally from Boston. I love philosophy, my beagle Stevie, art (both making and staring at), and being outside. I record my thoughts for posterity over at www.JanetandJaneVintage.com if you're ever so curious to hear more.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Refunds and Exchanges
Great care is always taken to accurately describe and photograph the condition of all goods sold, but please remember that vintage items have been worn/used and enjoyed in their previous life and as a result may have slight imperfections.

Items are cleaned before being offered for sale. A steam cleaning is done on purchased items before shipment.

Please ask any questions you may have about a certain item prior to purchasing, especially if you are unsure about the color, fabric, texture, flaws, size, or fit. I want you to be happy with your purchase, so please help ensure this by reading all policies, and contacting me with any questions before you commit to a purchase.

All sales are final. Please read measurements for clothing carefully to insure a proper fit. An item can NOT be returned because it does not fit. So please ask ANY and ALL questions before making your purchase.
Additional policies and FAQs
I often offer approximated sizes in my item titles to help people narrow their searches. It is the buyers responsibility to check the listed measurements of the garment.

Measurements are taken as follows:

LENGTH: The back of the neck to bottom of hem.
BUST: Armpit to Armpit x 2.

WAIST: Side seam to Side seam at the waist or an estimate x 2.

HIP: Side seam to side seam at the hip (usually fullest part of the garment x 2).
ARM INSEAM: Arm pit to hem of sleeve
SHOULDER: from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.

It's important to remember that your garment won't fit well, if its measurements are your exact body measurements. You need a little room to move. This extra fabric is called EASE. Ideally you want the following amount of ease for a garment: (unless it's stretchy, then you'll be O.K. without)

BUST: 1.5 inches

WAIST: 1 inch
HIP: 2 inches

Please measure yourself carefully, or compare the item to the measurements of something you already own that has a similar cut and fabric and fits you well.
