Making Time for Art!
As mentioned in my profile information, I am the mother of five children, most of whom are on their own. I am also the daughter of an artist who died an early death due to cancer. Throughout her life my mother always looked forward to when she could devote more time to artistic endeavors. That time never came. I have now outlived my mother's age and understand her desire to explore all things artistic more than ever.
While I have proudly held the title of stay-at-home-mom for many years, I do hold a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts which I have used in a variety of ways from professional interior designer to instructor of art for elementary students to high school. More and more my focus has included art history and biblical illumination: the art of reinforcing and enhancing the written words on the page.
A few years ago a dear friend of mine was diagnosed with three forms of cancer at once. His favorite prayer was the Serenity Prayer. I decided to write the prayer for him as well as render decorative images around the prayer. When I gave it to him he told me that I should make some to sell! My daughter, Sarah Rausch and my daughter-in-law, Myrill Winne both had Etsy shops. They encouraged me to open one too. Now,neither of their shops are open and I continue to plug away.

So, with the encouragement of them and others, I opened Beautiful Quotes. I am very slowly adding to my inventory as time allows. The possibilities are endless! There are so many wonderful quotes to highlight. I look forward to producing a greater and greater variety of beautified quotes in the future as God enables me.
