Making glass beads with a torch. Wrap melted glass on mandrel, shape while molten hot and put in a kiln to anneal. -

Into the kiln goes the glass so it can harden or anneal. I usually do this overnight with my digital controller. -

Glass rods - come in great colors, but not all colors. You have to do some mixing, adding frits. -

A final outcome - one glass bead which probably took about 20 minutes to create. It isn't a fast process.

Hi! I'm Nancy. Using a gas torch I create handmade glass beads. Glass used is mostly Italian glass and is formed into different shapes with the torch, melting the glass. Then the glass goes into a digital kiln to harden the glass.
