This item looks like it was made by an amateur, rough glaze and the ends were unfinished--no glaze. The black glaze was a rough finish as well. A full refund was given which I expected. It was taken off her website, I guess since it was one of a kind. Very disappointed.

I've purchase an amazing art piece! The form is very delicat and original. I've studied history of art a long time ago and I know this pot is one. I love the color too, the shades are wonderful in real life. I live very far from the BeckettPottery but the pot was very well packed and it came home intact! Well, the seller are perfect and her products beautiful, I HIGHLY recommend this shop!
Living My Life Long Dream
With an industrial arts degree, a wheel and kiln graduation present from my parents and money from the sale of my piano from childhood, I quit my day job and set to making pots in the basement of Jennings Store in North Iredell Co. My new husband and I were building our own homestead in the area and as soon as my rough shelter of a studio was finished at the house, I moved home to work where I mostly supported us while he finished the house.
I had just finished my first "skill development" session at Penland when we made the decision to start a family. Pottery took a back seat for about 17 years, even though I continued to make pots to sell to the galleries I had acquired earlier.
I am on my own now and have attended dozens of demonstrations and workshops to inspire the items I make today. My wholesale business is booming thanks to Wholesale Crafts.com, but Etsy gives me an opportunity to offer my more creative endeavors that I have made during retreats and items that are not suited for mass production.
And after 31 years, I have replaced the piano I gave up to start my career.
I've spent a lifetime with a love of clay and have been making pots to sell as a professional since 1982. Currently my studio is in the basement of my Winston-Salem suburb home, where I supply over 50 galleries and offer my special pots on Etsy.
