Summer has come to Eastern Maine! Outdoor farming tasks will be taking more of my time now. I will get back to making garlic braids and wreaths in the fall.
Our jars now say fruit spread to be in compliance with USDA guidelines. These are the same recipes we have been making all along though!

4 out of 5 starsLovely wreath. Brings back good memories of my years in Maine. I gave this product four stars instead of five as it was smaller than I pictured in my mind. And it arrived slightly squished. That could be a problem with the USPS but it still detracted from my overall first impression.

Making a dried flower wreath.
My husband Ron and I created Beddington Ridge Farm 43 years ago and we're not done yet.
My husband Ron and I left the city in Rhode Island and came to rural Washington County, Maine in the late 1970's as young back-to-the-landers. Our property was already a working wild blueberry farm and we have kept it so. We learned to garden and tried a bit of everything. It turned out that our thumbs are pretty green.
I started making balsam fir Christmas wreaths in 1980. It's a cottage industry in rural Downeast Maine and as a young homesteader it was a way for me to earn some income. I found that I LIKE to make wreaths and was soon thinking about the many other creative ways to do it. I started making wreaths with wild gathered materials. We started growing some flowers for drying. Over time we learned how to grow and air dry a wide range of plant materials and I really learned how to put a wreath together. I've sold dried wreaths and bouquets at local farmers' markets and craft events for many years. Now I mainly sell my dried creations at the Brewer, Maine Farmers' Market and on etsy. It's really enjoyable!
Eventually we were able to move into a real house and get licensed by the State of Maine to make and sell fruit spreads. Wild blueberries are truly delicious with much more concentrated flavor than cultivated high bush blueberries. I naturally started by making wild blueberry fruit spread but soon found that the delicious wild blueberry mixes well with other fruits we could grow. We now have an assortment of berry fruit spreads, all homemade with fruits and berries grown on Beddington Ridge. Our fruit spreads have been popular with our local customers and we hope you will try them and enjoy them too.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order multiple items to go to different addresses all on one order?
Each etsy order goes to one shipping address. To send items to different addresses, make a separate order for each delivery address.
What is the biggest diameter wreath that you will make as a custom order?
My biggest shipping boxes are 26" wide and that's the biggest diameter wreath I find practical to ship.
