Updates

I have all my little Petoskey stones polished and matched up. I found all of these beauties in Petoskey this summer. I am just getting ready to make some lovely stud earrings. I wish summer wasn't so short!
I had a fantastic time at William Holland school of lapidary arts learning how to paint with a torch on copper.
A piece I am currently working on. I am getting things made for this Summer's art fairs.

About

I love rocks and fossils and designing beautiful jewelry with them!

Spending a day at the beach on Lake Michigan hunting for Petoskey stones is a favorite childhood memory of mine. I am always amazed at the beautiful colors and patterns that one can find in stones. Showcasing the beauty of those stones and creating something special that brings joy to the wearer makes me feel very lucky to call myself a jewelry artist!
I have made hundreds of jewelry pieces now with Petoskey stones and I never tire of them as each one has it's own individual beauty. I love combining them with crystals and pearls and sterling silver charms that help tell the story of Northern Michigan.
I am always learning and trying to grow my skills as an artist. Twice a year I attend the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts and take a week long class in some aspect of jewelry making. The school is located in the beautiful Smoky Mountains in Georgia and I always have a wonderful time learning new skills and meeting with other artists.
My newest passion is working with mixed metals, copper, sterling, brass, and nickel. I love using the hammers and torch on the metal; creating unique pieces that showcase beautiful stones collected from around the world.

Hi, here is a silly picture of me hunting for Petoskey stones on the shore of Lake Michigan up near Leland, MI. It was a cold day but lots of waves and that makes for great fossil hunting. I love nature and all of nature's treasures, especially rocks and fossils.
