My fiance and I are both really impressed, not just with how beautiful the invitation package turned out but also with the level of professionalism Barbara showed through this whole process. Even the way she packed and shipped everything showed great care and we're very grateful her your efforts.

ABOUT THE PROCESS:
When you decide BellaBaroque is THE ONE, you will have already selected the design you like best from our online boutique. I will take that design style and alter it to fit your imagination. For a simple example, if you like a design with flowers, but really need a rose instead of a daisy, I am happy to change it. I want for your invitations to reflect who you are and what your event will be like! I love to personalize, I love to make any design better. Just ask!
We both look forward to hearing about your wedding event plans! We really do! We want to know colors, themes, travel plans,..gosh -send us a photo of your dress! We get really excited for dresses!
Look through our pictures! And you can even like us on Facebook or follow us on Instagram too!

I started my letterpress business in 2010 with 16 years of design skill and vendors already in place. I learned to use a letterpress and soon began to experiment and got creative with it! I turned my own basement into a print shop. I have an antique (1962) 705 pound SP15 Vandercook manual press. I love everything about my old press; inking it up, watching it roll across the plates, adjusting all the little parts to make it print just right. The engineering on these old presses is totally fascinating!

With a childhood filled with art classes, endless art supplies (thanks Mom!) and full support from my parents to become an artist, I took my creative time very seriously and indulged. I spent most of my time alone in my own private world and spent summers at the cabin, where I was allowed to run free to collect snakes, frogs and fireflies, and wander about being completely fascinated by the little bits of nature all around me. I was a deep daydreamer.
Years later, after earning a reputation for creativity and artistic skill, and receiving awards throughout school, I was accepted to the Minneapolis College of Art and Design where I studied photography, oil painting, and design, and fell in love with typography.
After I graduated in 1995 with a BFA in Graphic Design, I spent a few years traveling through and residing in beautiful places like Jackson Valley, Wyoming, and Tucson, Arizona. When I returned home to Minnesota, I found corporate life (and its design) to be so dull! I longed to create dramatic, romantic things.
After becoming engaged in 2002, I was so excited to create something beautiful for my own wedding invitations. I had many vendor connections (now my friends) who were willing to help me out with good deals and clever print methods to make my dream invitations a reality. The process was so inspiring and fun! I began designing more wedding suites for friends as wedding gifts. It was a very natural and easy choice for me to move into the wedding invitation business.
In 2010, I stumbled across a beautiful letterpressed card in a gift shop. I immediately Googled everything about letterpress! I signed up for classes at Minnesota Center for Book Arts in Minneapolis and aggressively learned how everything was done. I was able to find and purchase a Vandercook SP15 (also known as the "Cadillac of Presses!") shortly thereafter. My life was happily changed forever! A friend told me about Etsy. Perfect! I signed up and here I am. I now feel very passionate about the creative projects I get to work on daily!
Today, I look forward to designing and printing each card. I love watching my designs come to life from the computer screen, to the plate, to the paper in gorgeous color! Each card is a little work of art. They are like jewels to me. I'm so happily obsessed with this craft! (Have you run your fingertips across a 100% cotton letterpressed card yet?!)
I have since worked with couples all over the world -and in many languages! I feel so lucky! I love what I do and I hope to do this work until I retire,.. if ever!

THANK YOU for reading to the end!! Now, you better get back to figuring out who will be pouring the coffee as the cake is served, and if they will be wearing a corsage, and what time should that happen, and…..

Please note that work will begin after payment is received. Paypal transfers quickly, Mastercard and Visa, etc, are slower.
1. Work will require a 50% deposit of total job estimate prior to beginning project. The remainder will be due before we proceed to press.

Etsy Chat Box Conversations with BellaBaroque are saved for record. Please add all comments and questions to a single conversation thread. Starting a new conversation for each letter may very possibly result in missed information and order mistakes. Please keep all communication in the Etsy Chat Box. Phone calls are faster, yes, but the chat box has a record of what's been said and what is needed. And we often refer back to the conversation to double-check information. Its SO helpful!
Conversations that become inactive for 30 days are considered expired (we think you placed an order elsewhere) and will be deleted.
Its best NOT to use the BellaBaroque regular email address "email@example.com" for regular text communication. The email box is mainly for sending files. Please keep all communication within the Etsy conversations chat box as well as keep all conversation to one thread.
And lastly, please be patient with us. We're managing many projects at the same time -and we want nothing more than to give you what you want so your wedding is wonderful!
