BenBittnerCards' Shop Policies
All of the drawings you see in this shop are hand drawn, but some are drawn directly into a computer. Thus, the prints I sell are the closest that most of these drawings get to an 'original' physical object. In a few cases the drawings were executed by hand on paper, and either colored with watercolors, and I note that where applicable.
I often wonder what a "signed limited edition" means, especially in the case of digital prints (there is no technological barrier to printing off copies forever, and a low quality copy of the image is made every time someone looks at a webpage with the image on it). In my case, it means an edition that where I oversee the printing myself, and it is the only signed and numbered edition. It is generally the highest quality printing that the image will have as well. In addition to the numbered prints, there are usually one or two artist proofs in an edition.
The Epson Claria inks that I use for my prints are rated to last 98 years under glass, or over 200 years in dark storage. I generally print on Mohawk papers because I like their paper and I like their environmental policies. I only use paper that is archival and acid free.
I accept payment by paypal. You may cancel orders after you place them, provided I haven't shipped them yet, and you ask nicely (You don't really need to ask nicely, but my disappointment at having an order cancelled mirrors my delight at having an order placed, so asking nicely is always appreciated. Ridiculously elaborate excuses are also appreciated.)
Generally, I ship things via first class mail within two days of receiving the order. If you need upgraded shipping (some kind of next day thing, fed ex, ups) I'm happy to oblige, just contact me via conversation and we can work that out.
