The apple wood board was sold but was quickly fixed by showing me an even better board that I liked even more... great customer service and very high quality worksmanship. Came from america to Australia in a very quick time and was packaged really well so it wouldn't get damaged on the way here. 12/10 in all areas, definitely do recommend

About

Ben Whitbeck Woodworking

Hello,
My name is Ben; I live in Greenfield, Mass where I have a small woodshop at my home which is now getting 95% of its power from the sun! I've been building steadily since around 2001 but have been creative with various mediums my whole life. I love to go shopping for new lumber with nothing in mind; I wait to see what catches my eye. Then once I'm back in the shop I’ll start to shuffle the boards around and let my imagination go. That's when my best pieces are made.

My lamps are probably my favorite pieces to work on. Years ago the idea had come to me while standing in front of a window with a thin piece of scrap wood and I noticed how it had a beautiful glow to it. The gears started turning and I started drawing up plans. When one of my lamps is turned on the panels that make up the shade become almost translucent, a somewhat ordinary piece of wood is seen in an entirely different way. The grain is highlighted and glowing.

Lately I've been inspired by the fun of cooking with the family. So I keep busy building cutting boards, utensil holders, Ipad stands and other kitchen related items to get people cooking and enjoying their kitchen time. I try to build items that help make your kitchen a place of beauty and inspiration not just utility!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my shop as much as I enjoyed making the pieces in it.
