About

Glass addict

I fell in love with glassblowing immediately. I knew the day I first took a hot gather out of the furnace, that it would be something I would do for a long time. This sparked a great passion, and also a great problem...
My passion was something of an addiction. I sacrificed everything else in my life in the pursuit of gaining skill and understanding of glass. It took over my life, and still 9 years later keeps me up at night when I think of what to make, how to make it, and how to support my addiction. It' excitement, opportunity, and enthusiasm which makes me wired...
I learned that being an artist/craftsman was pretty fun, but to me it doesn't mean much unless I can share it with others. Unless I can learn to market, promote, and to be an entrepreneur, I feel that I'm not living up to my potential as an artist. Etsy has helped me evolve in these pursuits.
It's my goal to make exciting work which can reflect life's beauty, and entertain the viewer.
This path I've chosen could possibly be a life long process...possibilities are endless in glassblowing. With enough skill, glass can be manipulated into myriad of ideas. It's borderline overwhelming, but keeps one constantly hungry to learn more, progress, and grow.
