About BereniceCombe

Sales 3
On Etsy since 2018

Made in Camden

When I was a kid I used to make dresses in Plasticine for my dolls, or drawing new clothing for my paper dolls when the pre-made ones were not enough.
Then I grew up (kind of...), I went to uni to become an Architect and when I finished I realised I just wanted to design and make beautiful things. So, I co-founded a 3D printed jewellery and accessories brand. I worked there for 3 years, until I decided to move and start a new adventure in London.
By then, following the advice of my pattern-cutting teacher I decided to go further: transform my passion for fabrics, sewing and design in more than a hobby or a dream.
Since I'm in London, I've been sewing and creating garments for my own line (BC), by commission and also reworking vintage pieces for different shops in London.

BereniceCombe is your place if you want well-made pieces in your wardrobe... with a quirky touch!
Selected fabrics from small, indie and local shops, including amazing materials as silks and cottons, odd but gorgeous patterns, end of rolls and vintage treasures. Original designs and patterns made by me. Pieces are unique or really limited so, don't wait when you see something that you love!
Thank you for reading this and also, for being part of this adventure!
xx

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

Most of the items are made of delicate fabrics such as silk. I always recommend hand wash and dry flat or using a clothes hanger to avoid ironing.
Also be careful about colours and possible transfer.

Shipping to UK

I use Royal Mail Signed For 2nd Class. Your parcel should be arriving in two or three working days. Please, keep in mind that this is not under my control. Royal Mail estimates the delivering time and I follow the indications on their website.
Allow always extra time in Christmas or bank holidays.

Shipping Outside UK

I send the international purchases using Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed (International Tracked for Australia).
Times for delivery depend on your country:
Europe: usually 5-8 working days.
USA/Japan/Australia/Canada: around 10-15 working days.
Please, keep in mind that this times are suggested by Royal Mail and not under my control. Allow extra time for deliveries in busy periods, specially in Christmas and/or Bank Holidays.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Clothing:
I send every piece of garment wrap in paper (have a look to the pictures, About section of my Shop), tied with a nice bakers twine and with a tag with the info about your item.

Headpieces:
I send crowns and combs in cardboard boxes so they will be protected during their way to you and also you will have a cute box to keep it. You will get a tag with the info about your item.

*** Every purchase is prepare as a gift, I hope you feel really happy and excited whilst opening your parcel. I think that's the main reason for buying from independent designers and makers... Make it personal!
Also, if you are making a present for another person, you can get a personalised message. Just let me know!

Sizing details

Most of the items are made in *One Size*, what it means one fits all.
In every item, I include the measurement (allow always +/- 0,5cm) and also the approximate UK size or sizes. Usually these items are meant to be baggy or loose but I believe that you are who put the style! So feel free to wear any item as you like!
If you have any question about sizing, or if you are not sure about how something could fit, please send me a message before buying. I'll be really glad to help you and also you can be sure you get what you want!
