Announcement   STUDIO ANNOUNCEMENT:

Spectrum Glass, which produces our entire palette of colored glasses, has announced it will stop production and close its doors in the coming weeks. This news will mean big changes for Bespoke, and we're still settling on what the future will look like, colored-glass-wise. But things will be changing, that much is certain! In the meantime: If you have been considering a project and have colors chosen already/if you already have something from Bespoke you'd like matched or expanded:

NOW IS THE TIME to contact us about it.

We aren't a large enough company to stockpile tons of glass, so colors will eventually become unavailable to us. We will be working with clients to continue production with the glasses you love for as long as possible, and will do our best to set aside glass to work out future plans, but if we don't know about your project, we can't prepare for it, you dig?

ALSO! If you'd like to help, you can read some information about what's going on with the glass industry in America below, and if you're inclined, please contact your Representatives!

About

Bespoke Glass: Customizable stained glass & glass tile

Bespoke Glass was developed as a concept in bits & pieces over years working in various areas of glasswork, and really formed into a cohesive idea while I was in graduate school in Edinburgh, Scotland. I see it as a project of incorporating various glass techniques and strong, modern design into the traditional practices of stained glass and glass tile.

My focus is the design and production of unique, customizable and versatile products while keeping them affordable. I believe there is a definite design-savvy population who may not visit a tile showroom, but would be willing to invest in a backsplash that they could install themselves. Similarly, I believe renters deserve impermanent options, such as glass tiled panels which hang on/lean against walls, & the stained glass ‘Elements’ series, conceived as a way to use stained glass to take up a lot of physical space without costing a fortune. These are our people, the DIYers, those who lug prized possessions from apartment to apartment, and people who, if they don’t actually want a giant mirror spiderweb in their living room, at least think it’s a cool idea.

Welcome. Bespoke Glass designs and produces versatile, stained glass & glass tile that can easily be hung in windows or on walls, without the commitment of stained glass windows. Please remember that since each item is made-to-order, everything is customizable - you can see the full color palette here: www.bespoke-glass.com/colors. All of the glass is handcut in the studios in Bushwick, Brooklyn and Phoenix, AZ. All of the stained glass is produced using the copper foil/Tiffany method.

Shipping
LEAD TIMES
All orders are generally shipped within 10 weekdays/2 weeks of order (although often much faster, depending on production queues) for standard as well as custom orders. If you need your item expedited, please send a convo - it's usually possible to accommodate early shipping requests.

COSTS
Shipping costs are automatically calculated based on weight, box size, and distance.

SHIPPING CARRIERS
Orders are shipped via USPS, in most cases Priority Mail. Once your order ships, you'll receive a shipping notification and tracking number.
Very large orders may be shipped FedEx or UPS.

PACKAGING & INVOICES
As Etsy emails the buyer a receipt, no invoice/receipt/packing list is included in shipments. While there isn't a gift wrapping option, your glass will ship neatly wrapped in foam; you can see an example here: https://www.instagram.com/p/8d6H6QtWoP/?taken-by=bespokeglass
The order will also include a card with a link to hanging tips, care, etc.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
International shipping has *LIMITED* tracking. The order will be tracked regularly until it leaves the US, and then information may or may not be updated. Orders may be delayed at customs in your country for varying amounts of time; there is often no information available during this time. While no order has gone completely missing, delays have occurred (especially around the holidays). There may also be duties or taxes collected by your country; we are not responsible for these costs.
Refunds and Exchanges
Custom orders are not returnable.
Glass that has been damaged in shipping can be returned - please send a convo for details. There's never been an issue with glass breaking during shipping, and every effort is made to ensure each order is well-packed and secure.
Additional policies and FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions:

q: Are the cords attached to [something]? What do they hang from? How do I hang them?
a: The Elements series is meant to be very flexible and easily hung in a variety of spaces, so each piece (Element) is hung on an unknotted 24" length of brown waxed linen cord. You can hang this from small nails on a wall, from cup hooks above a window, eye hooks in the ceiling, a curtainrod, or basically anything else you can think of. You can also cut off the cords and hang the pieces directly on a wall with small nails.

q: Where's your studio? Can I visit? Do you do classes? Would you like an intern?
a: Currently we split time between Bushwick, Brooklyn where we share a studio with a mosaic maker and a painter, and Phoenix, AZ. If you'd like to find out where Lesley is at any particular time, you can send a convo or check our Instagram (@bespokeglass). We don't offer classes, there are other people out there who are better equipped than us for teaching. We probably aren't taking on interns, but you can always check.

q: Is the mirror really mirror?
a: Yes, it's normal flat mirror. Mirror is super hard to photograph because it reflects everything, and we do our best to make it recognizable but sometimes it can be confusing.

q: The colors look different in the different photos, which is real?
a: Stained glass is tough to photograph, and the glass can look very different against a wall than it does in a window. Additionally, several of the glasses have different textures, so sometimes the photos are trying to convey the texture as well. We do our best to make sure the photos are representative of the colors & textures you can expect to receive.

q: Can I get that in a different color?
a: Absolutely. You can see the available colors at bespoke-glass.com/colors.
