Beyond the Belt
I started my business in 2001 when I created my first brooch belt -- I am actually the originator of this fashion trend. Six months later my line of one-of-a-kind belts was selling at Barneys New York and Saks Fifth Avenue. National and international success soon followed, with stores from Los Angeles to Tokyo vying for my wares. In the years that followed, I expanded my belt line to include reproducible items, added product offerings like bags, leather jackets and watches, and worked with many stylists and costume designers.
After many years, I closed my main business, looking to focus on other pursuits. I still noodle around with one-of-a-kind pieces, but am no longer in major production mode.
The pieces offered for sale here on Etsy are a combination of the one-offs that I still make and inventory that I have lying around.
Please note that I have recently moved from Los Angeles to New York City, and given the lack of space in my new apartment was forced to leave my belt straps and most other leather goods in storage in California. Therefore, what is available now are buckles, watches, and watch bands.
I am happy to work on custom orders for customers, and provide repairs for any former customers whose buckles may have succumbed to wear and tear...
