About

I am a lifelong beader descended from a beader who is also descended from a beader.

I cannot remember a time when there was not a bead near me or in my hands, and I believe that a day without beads is like a day without sunshine. I have been published numerous times in Bead & Button Magazine, and was, for several years a contributing editor of BeadStyle Magazine. I am the author of "Seed Bead Stitching," "More Seed Bead Stitching," and “Bead Play Every Day." I am all about teaching techniques and teaching others to find their own beading voice through play and experimentation. I find inspiration in colors, architecture, microscopic images, shapes, and textures. My husband, Sheldon, and I are the proud parents of two accomplished young women who have flown from the nest to Chicago and Phoenix. We live in West Bloomfield, Michigan (with our darling dog) not far from where I was born and raised.
Fun facts: I love to cook and I love to build IKEA furniture.

All of my pieces are designed and created by me. Each piece is built one tiny bead at a time using many different techniques that I have developed or using many tried and true techniques and technique variations.

I opened my shop in 2008 and sold a few patterns. My shop was dormant for almost a decade when, in 2017, I re-opened! I’m excited to have this platform for sharing my work!

I take great pride in the wearability of my work, but sudden pulling or careless tugging could cause it to break.
