I've been making & selling jewelry since I was a kid, when pipe cleaner and foil rings were the rage and sold for 25 cents. I took a break for awhile, until a wireworking class at a local college reinspired me. I hope you like my work!

Hi, welcome to Betty's Bead Soup! For as long as I can remember, I've loved jewelry and making things.

In elementary school, I supplemented my allowance by selling beaded elastic bracelets and rings made from pipe cleaners and aluminum foil. As I got older, I stopped making my own jewelry and for a long time, everything I wore was storebought. Then, a few years ago, I decided to take a class on making wire jewelry. The results were amazing. I was a jewelry-maker again! (My favorite things to make and wear? Earrings, the bigger the better. My motto is, if earrings don't double as Christmas ornaments or fishing lures, why bother?)

Gradually, I started making things to sell to my friends and then to their friends, sold stuff on consignment and through an artist coop and even set up a Facebook page with photos of my work for out-of-town friends to enjoy. Then, I discovered Etsy and the rest was (or will be) history. I love making jewelry that 's fun to wear and that adds the perfect finishing touch to someone's look.

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
PayPal is my preferred method of payment; you must have a verified Etsy address and your PayPal and Etsy "ship to" addresses must match. Payment must be made before shipment. A down payment is required for custom work, with the remainder due before shipping. The down payment will not be refunded if the order is cancelled after work has begun.
Regular orders are shipped within 7-10 business days by USPS priority mail, which at present costs $5.80. I will add more items to your first sale for a small additional shipping fee (see item for specific cost). Custom work may take longer; ask for details. International sales may be possible, if you contact me for more details. Customers are responsible for all tariffs, taxes, duties, and customs charges that may be incurred. Insurance and delivery confirmation are available for an additional charge.
Refunds and Exchanges
No refunds or exchanges. If an item arrives damaged or broken, contact me within 7 days.
Additional policies and FAQs
My designs are handmade, so slight variations from piece to piece should be expected. Most of them are one-of-a-kind, so if you see something you like, order it - it probably won't be back!

My designs normally do not include precious metals; custom work can include whatever you need. Many earring designs can be switched from pierced to clip, if needed. I use surgical steel earwires on most of my earrings, but if you need a special type earwire, let me know and I'll rry to accomodate you. (There may be an additional charge.) Regardless, I can't guarantee how wearers will react to any materials I may use.

I love to do custom work and repairs; contact me and let's discuss it. DO NOT send anything unless I have asked for it.
