Our Brick and Mortar Shop was opened on September 11, 2005. It began on a 4 month trial rental of a spot in our small town. We did well and continued to rent the spot on a month by month basis until the opportunity came along for one of us to own the building with us renting the entire downstairs of a historical building in our town. We prospered and grew for many years savoring many firsts as young parents might; our first bolt of fabric, our first trade show, our first buying trip, our first line of curtains, our first line of paint etc. Many of these firsts are still offered by us at two local vendor malls. However, around 2017 sales began to drop off. Internet sales were too convenient for customers and foot traffic declined and ultimately we closed our shop but the passion did not die. We had to reinvent our wheel. Etsy was an avenue we ventured down. It allowed us to continue to pick treasures and offer them to a broader market as well as gave us more time to make the treasures we love. Then along comes 2020 and the Covid Pandemic. Things shut down and business nearly halted. We were one of the first in our area to perfect our face mask "operation" and did a combination of donating/selling over 3,000 masks and are still going at it, just not as strong. We plan to continue to do what we love and continue to grow our online presence with Etsy and our own website which remains a work in process.
