I began to paint out of a need to heal and never looked back.

Once upon a time . . . there was a little girl who lived by a world famous Museum in a little town, nestled in the midwest.   Instead of taking ballet or piano like her friends, she begged her parents to let her take ART lessons.  And from the moment she walked across the shiny marble floors, smelled the museum air, and took a gander at some amazing works ~ she was hooked.  Each and every summer was spent taking classes, learning new things, and just soaking in the beauty that came from the human imagination!

Sadly, she lost her confidence somewhere along the line between high school and college and decided that working with children was what she wanted to do.  Although in truth, she never stopped yearning to unleash the colors that swam around in her brain. Always wondering what could have been if she had the courage to follow her dream of studying art.

In the middle of all of that, prince charming came along and swept her off her feet.  LITERALLY!  He took her to see the big wide world, made her see things from a new perspective and loved her silly and adventurous side (oh yeah, this girl was fun;).  She skied in the Alps, scuba dove off the Great Barrier Reef, jumped out of an airplane, and traveled some of the world ~ all before the age of 30.

Then, like an answered prayer, she became pregnant and began raising her babies. Her creative flare was spent splashing colors on her walls, organizing the pantry, and planning colossal birthday parties. And she was happy.
Until one day,  it became clear that she must put brush to canvas again.  The time had come for her art to become a vehicle of healing after the most devastating death of her baby girl. This sweet little girl that didn’t get to live, gave her mother the push she needed to create again and to finally call herself ~ an artist.

Hello, welcome and thanks for stopping by!

I am so excited to finally be involved with Etsy because there is something very special about the handmade community, don't you think!? It is the little touches here and there that make something special. And that is what you are going to find here.

If you are ordering a custom piece, we will be getting to know one another and communicate so that I can better understand what you are looking for. If your excited about some art that is all ready to purchase, I want that experience to be special for you too.

There is nothing quite like waiting for 'fun' mail and I want you to enjoy opening your package. . . so, I gift wrap all original artwork and attach a coordinating ribbon. Each canvas is paper backed and comes ready to hang.

More information is available in the Shop Policies section, and if have any questions feel free to start a conversation, or email me steph [!at]

My art and prints are not intended for resale in a retail setting unless done so with written permission.

I ship WORLD WIDE! I will apologize now for the insane postage that you may be paying. Yikes ~ SORRY. Charges will not cover any customs or tariff charges that you may incur.

All original and custom art will be gift wrapped & protected before it is shipped. I ship parcel post unless you wish to pay for expedited shipping (contact me first).

Additional policies and FAQs
A little about custom orders. I do not have a fast turn around as I am a SAHM of 5 children. Please expect about a 2-3 month wait for your piece.

Full payment must be made before I begin your piece. I will contact you about when I begin your piece. I like to get to know you a bit before I start your piece, because ~ after all ~ I want you to be reflected in your art. So, please don’t hesitate to ask questions, offer suggestions, tell me what you have in mind . . . .because I aim to please!

Paintings in the shop are finished and ready to ship immediately. If you see something that you like, but wish it were a different color, just ask and I will try and accommodate you.
