While we want one of the features of our shop to be that we offer fast turn-around times, it's even more important that we can maintain a high-quality standard. Sometimes we may need an extra day or two to reprint a model if it doesn't meet those standards or if your order is especially large. Also, if you're placing an order and are on a tight deadline, feel free to leave us a note. We will see it and do everything we can to get it to you when you need it.

Frequently asked questions
Are all your models preprimed?
No! Wait. Yes. We prime everything so that you don't have to, and so you can get right to painting right out of the box. If you'd prefer your model to be left unprimed, simply make a note of that on the Checkout page.
What is 28mm-scale?
28mm-scale is a standard unit of measurement used in many tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons and Dragons. If you take a model of a standard human and measure from the bottom of their feet to their eye level, it should measure 28mm. The artists we partner with may exaggerate sizes to push the fact that the character is intended to be bigger than your average human, but they are still a relative 28mm-scale. Most of our models are either 28mm scale or 32mm scale.
Can I get a model in a different size?
While some models don't scale down very well, since they come in so many parts and can become very fragile, we suggest that you opt to upscale rather than downscale. We have large-format resin printers available for extreme oversized display piece models, so just let us know how big you want to go and we'll get back to you with a price estimate and a private listing.
Custom and personalized orders
It depends on the model and any kind of special effects you're going for. The best thing you can do is send us a message with your preferred model size and reference images, and we can send a quote.
For a typical commissioned paint job, you can expect one-inch-based models to be a flat $50, 2"-base models to be between $50-$70, 3"-based models to be around $100-$150, and 4"-based models such as large dragons to be $200-$250. Models which consume high amounts of resin may also impact the final cost.
If you're looking for a basic "tabletop-standard" paint-job that looks good at a distance, please specify that upfront and we may provide a discount, as by default we try to paint to a standard that still looks great under close inspection.
Can I request to have a specific painter paint my model?
Of course! If you're interested, please check out our shop bio page at bigminiatureworld.com/about-us to see our past painted works. If you have a preference on who paints your custom order, please mention that upfront. This may increase the time we would need to paint your order, but we're happy to accommodate the request.
What additional services do you offer?
We will paint any model, and can digitally sculpt and 3D-print custom models as a commission. If you own the STL file for a 3D print file and would like us to print it for you, we can do that too. Visit bigminiatureworld.com for more details.
