"Unemployment is capitalism's way of getting you to plant a garden." - Orson Scott Card.
Who am I?
I am a gardener, a seed collector, a wife and a mother.
Since I was a child - my mother encouraged me to put my hands in the dirt. The memories I have as a child were of my mother and I in her garden where she taught me the benefits of companion planting and such. Year after year; our family reaped the benefits of our hard work.
I am merely doing what is apart of my DNA, history and heart that tells me I need to grow things. I MUST grow something...So I started. The things I've learned while in my garden is something that I want everyone to learn as well.
History of my family tells a story of young pioneer farmers; who grew their own food and saved its seeds for next year. I do much of the same thing -but with flowers. Doing the things my ancestors have done bonds me with my past; and it sustains a future that my children can appreciate.
Whereas history has taught me to save the seeds, my DNA and heart have taught me to grow things from seed.
Growing a garden is good for the soul - no matter what your tastes may be - wholesome food for your family or beauty in flowers.
I am not a fan of the "Guerilla Gardening" and the "Throw and grow" concept - I believe in nurturing a plant from seed to seed. You can learn so much more after you plant a seed... if you don't stick around to find out what - how will you ever grow as a person?
I've also recently started a group on Facebook; connecting Albertan-Etsians to the local market. Its called "The Alberta Handmade Marketplace" -- its a place where local Albertan-Etsians support each other in our passion for all things handmade.
If you are interested in buying local, handmade items from Albertan handmade artisans or if you are an Alberta Handmade seller - we would love it if you joined us!
Owner, Maker, Designer
I am a SAHM mother of three; my creative inspiration comes from my family. My greatest success in life would be to see my children grow up and be inspired to create. Who could ever ask for more?
CUSTOM/RESERVED LISTINGS: Please review the details of all listings and orders prior to purchase. Please note that dimensions of my full favors are approximately 1.5" wide and 4" long. As these are all handmade - width of favor may be slightly larger. All attempts are made to keep sizes consistent.
Please note that purchases of any of my mini-favors; each individual seed bomb favor measures the size of a quarter. Sizes may vary due to the handmade nature of the item.
**PLEASE NOTE** All custom orders are on a first-come-first-paid basis. On average I allot 2-3 time slots per week to complete orders. Acceptance and agreed upon completion date of the order can only take effect when the private listing has been purchased and paid in full.

One way to secure a completion date that is months ahead of your expected RSVP's is to pay a deposit to secure a specific completion date. Please note that deposits are non-refundable.
"Do you make colored Seed Bombs?" - Regrettably no. Colored seed bombs are usually made with colored cardstock, or by adding either a water or oil based color additive to the pulp. Colored paper and any color additive is non-recyclable as it contains certain dyes which do not break down. Most colored cardstock or color additives will have an effect on the seed coat; thus making your seeds non-viable.
Although I do not use colored cardstock or paper in my seed bombs, in some cases there are small traces of colored paper as I use recycled and shredded office paper. Some of these batches may contain small amounts of this colored text grade paper which may cause a slight discoloration. All attempts are made to use only white paper. Please convo me with any questions.
"Do you make any of your items using a wildflower or butterfly mix?" - No. Most Commercially harvested bulk wildflower mixes contain a high number of weeds; there is no regulation in North America as to what can be placed in these mixes - therefore I prefer to either use a single seed type of favor - or make a "bee friendly" mix of my own.
I am an avid seed collector and gardener. Its an obsession! I always ensure that my seeds are viable and that based on my processes for making these seed bombs - that your seed bomb wedding favors will yield the most flowers.
However please take care to research any additional growing tips and always adhere to the specific growing instructions for each type of seed.
Remember - in nature a seed gets wet. When it stays wet for long periods of time it begins to germinate! This is why you should always ensure that your seed bomb wedding favors or gifts are kept away from direct sunlight, heat/cold and moisture.
