I am Alix - I Sew

I first started my etsy shop after reading about etsy in a book. I popped along and was hooked.

At first I made little fabric accessories to sell, and then some years ago I read about Dorset Buttons and tried these. I was surprised as I am not nimble, but I was able to make these tiny little buttons. At first they were not that great, but I am now at a point where I am really proud of what I make.

I love playing with colours, trying different ones together and coming up with combinations that I love. I am a Playworker and when I work with children I am amazed at how brave they are with colour and the way that they put different colours together really inspires me to be bolder too.

Nature is also a great inspiration as the flowers, and trees, and other plants provide colours that take my breath away.

I also enjoy making accessories that myself, and my daughter would like to wear and I share these creations in my shop.
