Established in 2005, Bijou Basin Ranch is a small family owned and operated yak ranch situated on the open plains of the Colorado outback. We are located about 65 miles southeast of Denver, Colorado, just outside of the small town of Elbert.
Our primary goal is to produce and sell high-quality fibers and yarns made with premium yak fibers and other luxury fibers. We raise registered, full-blooded Tibetan yaks that have superior glossy coats which are harvested annually. We also supplement the fiber we harvest from our yaks by purchasing quality yak fiber from other yak ranchers across the country and abroad.

These are some of the Tibetan Yaks that we raise on our ranch. They are the ones that grow the fiber that we sell. Cute & friendly too!

Returns and exchange details
WE STAND BEHIND EVERYTHING WE SELL. IF FOR ANY REASON YOU ARE NOT 100% SATISFIED WITH YOUR PURCHASE, YOU CAN RETURN IT, UNUSED, FOR A REPLACEMENT OR REFUND AT ANY TIME. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. IT IS THAT SIMPLE.

Payment
Payment must be received within 3-5 business days. Once payment is received, order will be shipped.
Shipping
All US orders ship USPS First Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail depending on the size. We try to ship all orders the next business day so they usually arrive in about a week, 3 to 7 business days, depending on the destination.
Once your order ships you will receive a tracking code via email (also available when you login to your account and view your order). It’s easy to track the shipping status of your order by using the track and confirm feature at the US Postal website.
Packages are not insured and BijouBasinRanch.com is not responsible for packages that are damaged or do not reach the customer. We will not reship or refund lost or damaged packages. If you would like insurance included with your order please indicate so in the comments field during the checkout process. Insurance is an additional $3-$5 per $100 of merchandise shipped. If you choose to add insurance your credit card will be charged the difference once your package ships. We will do everything in our power to help locate a missing package but it is the customer’s responsibility to file a claim with the post office.
International Shipping
International shipping is based on weight and USPS First Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail Rates. Price is calculated at checkout. All orders ship USPS First Class Mail or USPS International Priority Mail. Orders ship within 24 to 48 hours so they usually arrive in two to three weeks.
We do not assume responsibility for lost or damaged packages. International orders cannot be tracked after they leave US Customs. Once your order ships you will receive a tracking code via email (also available when you login to your account and view your order) however this tracking code will only indicate status within the United States.
International packages are not insured and BijouBasinRanch.com is not responsible for packages that do not reach the customer. We will not reship or refund lost or damaged packages. If you would like insurance included with your order please indicate so in the comments field during the checkout process. Insurance is an additional $3-$5 per $100 of merchandise and requires using Standard Priority Mail, Medium or Large Flat Rate Packaging. Flat Rate Envelopes are not eligible for insurance. We cannot mark packages as “gift” on customs forms. Shipping charges do not include customs fees. Customs and brokerage fees may apply . These fees vary from country to country for which BijouBasinRanch.com is not responsible, and are the responsibility of the customer.
