My beautiful sun panel needed some company! :) Wow, this lovely moon is absolutely fantastic and even more beautiful in person. It shipped promptly and was extremely well-packed. Thank you so much Jennifer for another amazing piece that I will cherish.

I begin with a pattern. I draw my patterns on butcher paper with pencil and then trace them with a marker. I cut out each piece of glass according to the pattern, like cutting out and putting a puzzle together. Each piece of glass is ground down on a grinder so the rough edges can be smoothed down. Each piece is then wrapped with copper tape (Tiffany method), cleaned with flux, brushed with patina and soldered. I use 60/40 solder unless I am making jewelry and then I use 100% lead-free solder. Each piece is soldered on front and back.
I love stained glass. I have been experimenting with it since 1996 after working for a local artist in Dillsboro, NC. I create for the love of creating and not to make money, that is one rule I stand by no matter what I make.
