Announcement   One day I was doing some internet’n and came up with the idea to use old glass bottles and reclaimed wood to make some projects around the house. Next thing you know I am getting compliments on my hobby and people start telling me I should sell my stuff on etsy. A few people joked by saying I should just retire from my day job and just sell my projects on esty. I’m definitely a long way from that but I'm trying. I enjoy making lamps out of old glass bottles and birdhouses out of the reclaimed wood. I have also dabbled with using a few other materials especially when I come by a vintage item now and then. Thanks for having a look and reading my blabber.

About

James enjoys creating things with his hands.

I was hanging out with my friend Brad, a carpenter, messing around with his tools and scrap wood. Before I knew it, I had built my first birdhouse and used a license plate from my collection as the roof. Since then, I started gathering my own wood from torn down barns and fences, and collecting old knobs and hinges to add some character to the houses I build. Once I had this creative bug in me, I started looking for other projects to work on. While visiting my in-laws in the wine country I stumbled upon a wine bottle with some lights in it, and that's when I really got going. My up-cycled lamps began with extra wine and liquor bottles I had around the house and many were broken before I mastered the drilling. Now I find myself buying bottles not because of what's in them, but because I think they'll make a great lamp.
