Announcement   Making a man dapper and dandy means having the correct tools which Chris has invented under the delightful moniker Bittle & Burley. A graphic designer by trade, you’ll definitely see his eye for great design in the details. And if his goods have a sturdy handmade feel, that’s because each and every step in the process has a little extra elbow-love in it: Chris hand-carves, sands and oils each pine brush before he cuts, folds and glues every single box that he tucks them in.

This purse is not only really functional, but it's gorgeous! There are 2 sets of loops, so you can make the purse long and slim for when you have to fill it up, or fold the flap over when you don't have as much in it. The pictures don't do it justice. And I special ordered the colors I wanted and it turned out great. Excellent!

A reasonably-priced, hand-made brush. Classic packaging, too. I never thought to get a beard brush until I saw one of these in a shop in NYC, but I now use it all the time!

About

Products for the everyday that have a major sense of classic traditional style.

One of my favorite exercises in design school occurred in my first year class. We were supposed to combine colors textures and patterns. 3 squares were supposed to relate to each other conceptually and graphically. When I was designing my bags I found that these exercises kept coming up. I was combining different colors and textures again! In thread and canvas and linings. Id choose a neutral add a textured compliment and the lining will tie it all together. Currently I am obsessed with artist canvas, Workmans drop clothes and utilitarian denim. Combined with vintage looking ticking, gingham and chambray. Each denim has it's own feel. Black denim is edgy and cool. Lite blue denim is beachy and carefree.

I started off thinking about the beard trend and designed the original Beard Brush in 2012. Seriously. No one else was doin it then. To compliment the brush. I designed the Shave bag next. I experimented with many shapes and styles and finally settled on the current incarnation. Inspired by the canvas tool bags workman use to carry tools.
Because my past was a graphic designer I take a lot of time and effort in my DIY packaging. The beard brush box, the handkerchief wrapper and the hang tags have all been recognized by Packaging Your Crafts by Viola E. Sutanto
