About

The best possible quality fabrics with an eco-conscience

Bizzy & Boo Fabrics is a small, independent fabric shop in Bristol, England. We pride ourselves in stocking the best quality certified organic fabrics. Everything in the shop is organic and eco-friendly.

What does "organic" fabric mean?

When we say the fabric is organic, we mean that the production process excludes the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, and that there are no harmful chemicals, heavy metals or toxic elements used in the farming, weaving, dying or processing of the fabric.

Why choose organic fabric?

* Because it's better for the earth *
Organic textiles are made without the harmful pesticides and chemicals that are used in traditional fabric manufacture. Cotton manufacturer accounts for about 25% of chemical pesticides used in agriculture, switching to organic reduces this pollution.

* Because it's better for the workers *
Organic textile makers have to ensure strict social criteria is met including fair wages, better working conditions and other ethical practices.

* Because it's better for the wearer *
Organic fabric is very soft and contains fewer chemicals than traditional cotton making it better for those that have delicate skin or suffer from allergies.

WELCOME to Bizzy & Boo Fabrics! Thank you for visiting our lovely little shop.

I'm inspired by happy colours, themes of nature and animals and soft, organic, natural and eco-friendly materials that are as gentle on your little ones skin as they are on the environment. I started my craft journey making clothes for my own little ones and was soon asked to make for others. I ran a shop on Etsy for over two years selling beautiful handmade organic goods for under 5s (www.bizzyandboo.etsy.com) but I realised that there are so many others that want to sew and few options for eco-friendly fabrics in the UK so I decided to open this little fabric shop.

Shipping
We process and ship orders every weekday, but please allow three working days for normal orders to be dispatched to allow for busy periods and fluctuating staffing levels.

*Exception* If you have ordered a presale fabric your entire order will be held until all fabrics are in stock. We don't list presales until the order has been placed and paid for with our suppliers, but sometimes shipping and customs takes longer than we expect. We will dispatch your order as quickly as we can, but we recommend placing presale and in stock orders separately to avoid unnecessary delays.

All orders are shipped to the address on your Etsy account - please check your receipt to ensure this is correct. If an incorrect address is given we are not responsible for missing post. If you need to correct an address, we will cancel and refund the order and you must order again to ensure the correct address is on the receipt.

• SHIPPING RATES •
Bizzy & Boo Fabrics ships most parcels to the UK and EU at flat rates under 2kg of £3.35 and £15 respectively.

*Exception*
Clearance fabrics are shipped at £2.75 for one item and 50p for each additional item, any overages of more than £1 will be refunded.

Parcels over 2kg may incur extra shipping charges, you will be contacted if this is the case for a shipping supplement. For other areas of the world, please contact to set up a custom order with accurate shipping rates.

UK SHIPPING
If you choose regular delivery, packages will ship 1st class (under 1kg) or 2nd class (1-2kg). Parcels over 2kg will be shipped via myHermes and incur a small surcharge, you will be contacted if this is the case. If you choose priority delivery (an upgrade) packages will ship Special Delivery (under 1kg) First class Signed For (1-2kg) or 2day Parcel Force (over 2kg).

EU SHIPPING
Regular flat rate shipping is usually sent Air Mail with tracking or insurance. If you are placing a large order, we recommend that you upgrade to priority shipping with tracking and insurance. For very large orders, you may need to pay a supplement - in which case you will be contacted via Etsy messaging to discuss.

REST OF THE WORLD SHIPPING

• CUSTOMS & IMPORT DUTIES •
Are the sole responsibility of the buyer. I am happy to work with customers to keep purchases under customs thresholds by shopping multiple packages, but please talk to me about this before purchasing.

• PACKAGING •
My mantra is reduce, reuse, recycle. All our packaging is either recycled (the tissue paper and cards) or recyclable and biodegradable (the mailing bags).
Refunds and Exchanges
We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If you wish to return something for any reason please contact us as soon as possible on receipt of item(s). Returns will be fully refunded or replaced (your choice) if returned within 14 days of purchase, please send proof of postage. Customers are responsible for shipping charges (and return shipping charges) unless the return is due to our error, in which case we will reimburse return shipping charges.

Any refunds will be issued in the same manner as payment was made as long as the item is returned in the same condition it was shipped - fabric must be unwashed and other items unopened.
