About

Family Tradition

I had just opened my first Etsy shop in 2010 not really knowing what I was doing. I thought I could sell vintage knick-knacks I found at local thrift shops, but after a few horrible experiences with Fedex breaking my items I decided to switch gears. Fast forward 3 years, I found myself moving from California to Colorado to start a new life with my boyfriend and 3 month old son. It was my first real winter and with the help of my grandmother, Sue, I began to try my hand again at crochet. I had attempted it years ago when I was pregnant with my oldest son, but could never quiet get the hang of it. My grandmother and great grandmother, Virginia (Gram), had always made us such beautiful things growing up that I was very excited to finally get the opportunity to learn them myself. I'm afraid Gram will always be a better seamstress than I and I wish I had learned more from her. I still haven't mastered my grandmother's ability to crochet an entire afghan while watching a mini series.

The women of my family are devoted to their crafts and this little store is my way of carving my path and creating my story. I hope to fill it with the same type of beautiful timeless pieces that gave me comfort throughout childhood and still to this day. My new surroundings have given me the opportunity to create little masterpieces and I am nothing but grateful.

I work part time for a small rural fire department tucked in the mountains of Colorado. Originally from Southern California, I now spend most days creating and designing surrounded by a beautiful landscape when I'm not in the office.

Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

Most items are machine wash cold, gentle cycle, tumble dry low. I recommend placing items in a garment bag to keep them from getting snagged on other items. For big items, like afghans, it is best to wash alone or with like items. You can always lay items flat to dry as well.

Want to keep your items soft? Let them soak in fabric softener and launder according to your fabric softener instructions.
