About

It's in my blood!

I grew up with my mother and grandmother taking me to yard sales and flea markets throughout my childhood. After my grandmother's passing I drifted away from going to them anymore. About five years ago my mother was talking to me about some really nice antique religious items that she found at an estate sale and the passion started to come back. I thought it would be neat to have a bible in different languages, so I began to seek them out. As time went on I was collecting all kinds of religious items. Then I decided to open an Etsy shop so other people could enjoy the beautiful pieces that I have found.

Black Dog Market is named after my four legged child. She is truly a gift from God and I am thankful that she is in my life.

My biggest passion is Russian Orthodox religious items. I can't explain it, but I am very intrigued by it. I have a small personal collection of these items and every once in awhile, I will find one that I will list on here. Unfortunately they are very hard to come by without paying a fortune for them.

We travel all over the US searching for unique pieces to bring you! Many of our vintage finds come directly from France by way of one of our many pickers. I hope you enjoy browsing Black Dog Market and come back often. We will be constantly adding new items. Enjoy!

We accept PayPal and all major credit cards.
Shipping
Items are shipped within 3-5 business days of payment being cleared. You will receive a message through PayPal the day your item ships. Please allow up to 5 business days for your item to ship! If you need it shipped quicker, please message us!

* All the items listed in my shop are in stock and will be shipped USPS or Fed EX Ground unless stated otherwise in the individual items description. If you want your order shipped by Priority Mail or with Insurance, please contact me for a quote.
PLEASE NOTE: the order will ship to the address on the order. Please make sure the correct shipping address is entered into the ordering system at the time of the transaction!

* I take great care in wrapping your order for shipment.

* If your Etsy and Paypal address are not the same, please clarify in the notes to seller where you would like your package sent so that there is no delay in shipping.

* Shipping charges are NOT REFUNDABLE.

*Shipping delays due to weather: We are not responsible for delivery delays due to inclement weather and other circumstances beyond our control.

*INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: we will ship certain items internationally, please convo us for a shipping quote. PLEASE NOTE: Some countries will tack on extra charges when going through customs. We ARE NOT responsible for any added on charges originating through customs in your country. We have no control over this and the buyer is responsible for any added on VAT tax, import, or duty taxes originating in customs. We will NOT mark an item as "gift" or lower the value of the item on the customs form. It's illegal to falsify customs declarations or mark an item as a "gift" in order to avoid customs fees.
Refunds and Exchanges
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. We sell vintage and antique items that are sold in "AS IS" condition. The items we sell are antiques, old, used, approx. sizes., are not new, and will show typical wear depending on the age of the piece.

We will do our best to describe items as accurately as possible, and disclose any specific issues, and our pictures are part of the description. Please examine the pictures as that is what I am selling.

The item is what it is, and once you press buy it now, the treasure is yours. READ THE DESCRIPTION and LOOK AT THE PICTURES carefully, BEFORE you purchase! ALL SALES ARE FINAL and we DO NOT accept returns EXCEPT for damaged items.

ITEMS DAMAGED IN SHIPPING: We strive to pack all of our shipments as well as we possibly can, however, sometimes an item will be damaged during shipping no matter how well we pack it. In the case of a shipment arriving damaged, please contact us immediately for instructions PRIOR to returning the item.

Pictures of the damage are required which can be sent through the Etsy messaging system. We usually only have a small window to file a damage claim with a shipping company, therefore, if there is damaged to an item, you must send three photos of the damage as well as a photo of the box within 2 days of delivery. These photos can be sent via a message through Etsy to us. Please do not throw away any packing or the box until we have confirmation from the shipping company.

REFUNDS:
If returning an item for refund due to DAMAGE DURING SHIPPING, you must contact us PRIOR to returning it for return instructions, and it must be returned within 7 days of receipt.

The returned item must be in the same condition it was received in and repacked in it's original packing. You must provide tracking number of the return. Depending on how the item was shipped, we may issue a call tag for the return. Once the item is received by the above guidelines and is inspected, we will issue a refund for the purchase price only of the damaged item. SHIPPING COSTS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE!

Please note that you MUST contact us for return instructions.

***PLEASE NOTE*** On occasion, depending on the specific item, we may accept a return. This is totally and completely at our discretion. In that instance, the item must be returned in it's ORIGINAL condition. Refund will only be issued once the item is received and inspected that it is in it's original condition. Tracking and insurance must be provided by the buyer. No shipping costs will be refunded. No refund will be issued if the item is returned damaged, missing pieces, or is lost in transit.
Additional policies and FAQs
LAYAWAY: Due to numerous issues with buyers not making timely payments, we have discontinued our layaway program.

RESERVE: We will place an item in Reserve for a maximum of 24 hours.

PLEASE NOTE: We reserve the right to refuse, amend, and/or administer the above policies in the manner in which we choose depending on individual circumstances.

We do not accept checks or money orders.

We also reserve the right to not sell to anyone that we choose, at our discretion.
