Welcome aboard our observation deck at Black Sea Studios. All models are customized from existing Breyer, Artist Resin or pewter models. Models are sanded with previous logo removed, primed and painted in a variety of media. Most are a mix of airbrushing, pastel pigments and pencils with details hand painted in acrylic. All models are sealed in a top coat to help preserve the finish. I have been painting and airbrushing model horses for almost ten years for my personal collection. All models are signed on the belly with the date (or on a base).

*Care must be taken with mico mini pewter models as their limbs/tail can be easily "moved" with slight pressure. It does not take heat, unlike the plastic models. Too much "adjusting" may break the model. However if a leg or tail is slightly bent from shipping or does not stand on a solid surface they can be moved, carefully.
