This box was made by a true artisan I purchased it for my brother who has Viking blood running through his veins and is a direct ancestor to Eric the Red. It is well made and just beautifully crafted I will definitely purchase from this site again it arrived quickly on short notice and the artisan was very understanding and kind. Thank you so much again

Digging in

We met in 1996 playing Dungeons and Dragons. Soon after we became performers at a local renaissance festival, and after several years members of the Society for Creative Anachronism. This love of history and fantasy is imbued into every thing that we do.

Black Sun Arts as a business is a collaboration of husband and wife to make a business selling the crafts that we love to do: Gene as a pyrographer, Marie as a fiber artist. Our studio spaces are within our house in Trenton, NJ that we share with our adorable greyhound Izzy and orange tabby cat Hexi.
