Announcement   **I'm so excited to announce that my book Heart Felt Knits is now available for purchase on Amazon and other retailers. It contains many of the patterns for items in my shop as well as many more.**

Blackbird Design House was named Best of the Web 2010 by InStyle Magazine. We offer modern, hand felted accessories for the home and one of a kind wearable art.
Each piece is hand knit then felted for hours by hand, no machines are used and very little water. Each bowl is then placed on a vintage glass mold to shape and dry in the California sun.

Due to this hand made process please allow up to 2 weeks for the creation of your special piece.

Each piece I produce is 100% created by hand and hard work. No machines, no chemicals. Just wool, soap and water.** **Completely enamored with the sculptural quality of wet wool I use an ancient textile technique called wet felting. All of my items are first knit by hand using 100% Merino Wool. They are then put through the felting process, which is done entirely by hand, then dried on molds outdoors in the California sunshine.
**This is a very eco friendly product. Wool is a perfectly-renewable resource and felting by hand uses very little water and zero electricity.

Returns and exchanges
Due to the custom nature of each piece I don't issue refunds or accept exchanges. That being said I want you to be happy with your item so if there is a problem with it please notify me within 7 days of receiving it so we can work towards a solution.
Payment
I'm happy to accept PayPal. Please remember that even if you don't have PayPal you can still pay through it using a credit card. If you live in California then sales tax will be applied at the time of purchase.
Shipping
All domestic orders are shipped USPS priority mail. Insurance isn't included, however if you'd like to add it please let me know at the time of checkout so I can adjust your invoice.
All international orders are shipped USPS International First Class.
