WHY Powder coating? Quality to appreciate. It creates a hard, durable finish that is tougher than conventional paint, used for both outdoor & indoor items to protect your piece from rust. It is the best rust resistant finish anyone can offer. Powder coat paint is a baked-on finish used on motorcycles, cars, & outdoor furniture, and anything that is exposed to humidity and outdoor environment, so you know it's durable and resists rust.

Steve lovingly creates orders when they are ordered by you He has selectively created items in our category "IN STOCK", which is 1-2 weeks production time. Custom items are approx. 3-4 weeks creation time.

Add us to your contacts, so our communications do not go in a spam bucket. If I don't receive an answer after several attempts, it may be possible that your order can be cancelled because no communication came back thru Etsy email. So please review my emails. I try really hard to communicate, & rarely cancel orders.

If Steve isn't happy with his work for you, he doesn't let it out of his shoppe. If you're not happy with the result, we'll correct it to your satisfaction. Steve practices KAIZEN, which are small continuous improvements to make it better and better. We only sell online, to keep the expenses down (no middleman / lower overhead) providing YOU better prices for our high quality, gift worthy products.

HANDMADE. Our times are lovingly created and handmade in the Northern CA, not NOT factory made. We use only authentic, new, clean St Croix horseshoes and railroad spikes made in America, for a rustic yet clean look. We have an excellent quality powder coater & an excellent engraver to make your order with the best quality available.

***ENGRAVING can include longer names, dates, coordinates (longitude /latitude), hashtags, or logos.. Engraving gives you more flexibility and a neat, clean look than hand stamping. Engraving will also accept more characters because font sizes are flexible.
RECOMMENDATION: ALL CAPITAL LETTERS works best for names, for legibility and clarity. (print your in the comments box, as CAPS so we know that you know!). Ask any question we'll try hard to make it happen.

IF YOU DON'T SEE WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR, please ASK (you can also use the search button in our shop for ideas). If it's an anniversary gift, you can use the search box, type in "anniversary" and more ideas will come up. **IRON & STEEL ANNIVERSARIES** Horseshoes are made from iron. Iron is mixed with certain other metals with heat, to form steel in creating horseshoes. That's why they are perfect for BOTH traditional anniversary gifts of iron and steel. NEW means no icky manure or dirt in creases of the shoe, that you might find in used shoes. We can distress new shoes at your request. Crisp, clean, and worthy of a gift to others and to yourself.
These are up-cycled, authentic St/ Croix horseshoes. No cheap cast iron knockoffs or replicas here....
***NOTE: Even new horseshoes are inherently rough and some of that rustic-ness remains in each piece. They may look like slight imperfections, because it's the nature of the material ... differences add character and originality to each unique piece, with perfect imperfections! There will be slight variations in size, shape, or color from what you might see in the pictures, as each is handmade for you by Steve.
