I absolutely loved the divinely made tarot cloth I ordered from Blaise Yarns. The color was absolutely gorgeous and knowing it was hand dyed was extra magic. The patterns created in the yarn feel like sacred geometry. It's a keepsake to be sure. So lovely.

About

The twist and turns

I learned to crochet in college as a stress reliever. I had a desire to create something physical to prove my time spent, and papers weren’t cutting it. I started on the traditional route: blankets, basic scarves, hats, and then I moved to doilies. Doilies is really when my passion began. I love the intricate lacework they have, but I hate the itty bitty yarn and small hooks. This brought me to shawls. A land where I can create comfy doilies that you can wear. Soon after, I bought my first skein of wool yarn. Being the textural person that I am, I fell head over heels for the plushness of it, and I never looked back. Downside is I live in Texas, so wool isn’t my friend except for 2 maybe 3 days a year, but I just couldn’t stop. Soon shawls were taking up a quarter of my closet, and I landed an amazing job where I could crochet at work (a terrible combination). So they grew. And grew. Luckily, my job hosts a craft far, where people can sale their work. After much prodding by my friends, I signed up. And sold quite a bit. I was shocked. I never imagined that people would be willing to pay for my shawls. This is how Blaise Yarns was born. High on the sales, I began searching for other avenues to sell my products, and I landed on etsy. Now my crocheting had a purpose and a drive, which means I needed more yarn. Sadly, I couldn’t find yarn in the colors I was looking for. With the help of another friend, I began dyeing. Shockingly, I discovered I love dyeing more than I love crocheting (just don’t tell my hooks that). Dyeing began to overtake everything. Soon, I was dyeing faster than I could crochet, so I began selling my extras. And people actually liked them, so I made more. And the process continues. This is where we are now. Fanatic creation!

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders

If you find something that you love, but lets say you want a different pattern or size or color, let me know. Most of the time I do have a quick turn around with custom products, but it does depend on the size, yarn availability, and how busy my fulltime job is. Just reach out and I will let you know!

Please let me know about any deadlines, so I can work around it or be up front if I can't do it.

Care instructions

• Hand wash in cold water
• Use a mild detergent (like baby shampoo)
• Dry flat

The goals with wool is try not to agitate it too much. Where noted, most of the yarn I use is superwash wool, which means that it is harder to felt. This type of wool can be washed in a washing machine, although I do not recommend it.

Heads up, I retain NO liability if you wash the item incorrectly and something happens to it. I do NOT accept returns due to improper washing.

Returns

I will accept returns if for many reasons, just reach out to me. However, I will NOT accept any returns due to improper usage. If you wash it incorrectly and it felts or unravels, I will not accept it back. If it unravels, I would still contact me, sometimes I can fix it, sometimes I can't.

Europe Shipping

I am more than happy to ship to Europe. Do not forget that you have to pay VAT tax. No I will not list it as a gift to get around it. And no, I will not and cannot pay it for you. If an item is returned, I will keep the shipping cost + 10% of the order total for my work and effort. Everything else will be returned.

If two items that you have bought from me get returned, I will stop accepting any order from you. I will immediately refund them upon receiving them.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I do not offer specific gift wrapping. However all items will be wrapped in tissue paper to help protect them, which can easily be transferred to a decretive bag or considered pretty wrapping themselves. I am more than happy to include a personalized message with the item, just message me about it.
