In Honor of My Late Mother

My name is Melissa Carter. I'm a media personality in Atlanta and am asking you to dedicate one day a year - May 26th - to simply do art. Why that day in particular? It was the day my mother was born and died.

Millie Pete was an art teacher and prolific artist, and didn't care what your skill level was ... she simply asked you to try art on for size. So draw, paint, sing, take a photograph, act, play music...whatever artistic endeavor you feel most comfortable doing, do. Even if it's for 5 minutes, on May 26th commit to expressing yourself artistically.
