CURRENT PRODUCTION TIMES:
I make every veil myself especially for you. The time it will take me to make your veil varies at different times of the year, depending on the volume of orders I have. My current production times for fabric samples and veils are as follows: (this does not include the shipping time from the UK to your location)

~ Fabric samples:
1 - 2 days

~ Simple raw-edge veils:
(2 weeks approx)
BEAUTY, HOPE, PEACE, LOVE, ETERNITY etc

~ Lace-edged/embellished veils:
7 - 8 weeks
ISABELLA, MELODY, CATHARINA etc

If you need your veil quickly (having your veil in your hands within 6 - 10 working days from the date you order, depending where in the world you are), please add the Rush My Order listing to your basket to fast-track your order and upgrade your shipping. (This service is usually only available for simple raw-edged veils, but if you need a lace-edged or embellished veil quickly, send me a message - if I can rush your order, I will!)

The dreamiest wedding veils, handmade to order for each bride.

Welcome to Blossom & Bluebird! Established in 2016, I create beautiful wedding veils in my small studio in the tranquil countryside of East Sussex, England. I do everything myself from answering each message, to making and packing every veil - this way I can ensure that each order I send is perfect, paying close attention to every detail.

I make each veil by hand, using the finest tulles, the highest quality lace and exquisite embellishments. I use traditional millinery tools and techniques to make silk flowers and individually hand-cut and press each petal. Every piece is made with love and the utmost care!

It's an honour to be trusted to make your wedding veil, and so I take a lot of time over all my creations to ensure they are perfect. All my veils are made to order and some require you to take a measurement for me, so I can ensure they're perfect. For this reason it can take a little time before your chosen veil is sent out to you - please see your item's page for more information or send me a message, I'm always happy to help. Each veil is carefully wrapped in soft tissue paper before being placed in a white Blossom & Bluebird gift box with gold foiled logo, and then it's posted safely to your door.

It's my sincere hope that when someone chooses a Blossom & Bluebird veil, they adore wearing it and feel amazing in it. I am always on hand if any problems arise - I want every bride to be delighted! Can you send me samples of fabric used in your items so I can match it against my dress?

Of course, it's so important to ensure a perfect match with your wedding dress! There is a small charge for each sample depending on your chosen fabric, and they are usually posted out within 1 - 2 working days. This small charge for samples covers the time it takes me to put each sample envelope together, and to cover the cost of materials and envelopes.

Please go to the 'Fabric samples / swatches' section of the shop to order your samples - and do ask if you need any help!

What is the difference between Soft English Tulle and Fine English Tulle?

Soft English Tulle (aka English Net) is a very soft, silky, draping tulle with no stiffness, fluid and airy, very similar to silk tulle. When you're standing still, it falls straight downwards, and when you move it flows around you. It's available in Pure White, Soft White, Ivory, Deep Ivory, Champagne, Blush Pink, Rose Pink and Antique Rose.

Fine English Tulle is a traditional luxurious tulle, very sheer, beautiful and lightweight. When you're standing still it flares outwards a little, and when you move it holds its shape. Available in Ivory, Soft White, Pure White, Champagne and Blush Pink.

I love one of your veils but I'd like it in a different length...?

That's no problem! Just let me know the length you'd like and I'll price it according to the standard lengths in my shop.

I'm confused about veil lengths - every shop seems to have different measurements for Fingertip, Waltz, Chapel, Cathedral-length...?

There's no exact agreement about how long each of these veil lengths are, so you'll find they do vary quite a bit between veil sellers! Generally Chapel-length veils are between around 85" - 95" and Cathedral-length around 105" to 110", with 'Royal-length' being even longer than this (in this shop Royal-length is 118"). If you can't choose between one of my standard lengths, the best option is to take a measurement while wearing your dress (get a friend to help!) and hold the tape from where you'd like your veil to begin, let it fall naturally downwards and measure to where you'd like your veil to end. You can give me this measurement and I can make your veil a custom length at no extra cost.

I need my veil fast - how quickly can you get it to me?

Every veil is made to order especially for each bride, on a first ordered, first made and posted basis. If you need your veil quickly, please purchase the 'Rush My Order' listing to have your veil moved to the front of my order queue. It will be made within 4 working days and then posted the following day by Royal Mail Special Delivery (Next Working Day by 1pm) if you're in the UK, an Express courier taking 2 - 3 days if you're in Europe / the United States / Canada / the UAE, or an Express courier taking 3 - 5 days if you're in Australia / New Zealand / Hong Kong / Singapore.

Custom and personalised orders

I love accepting custom orders but due to the volume of orders I receive when wedding season is in full swing (February to October), I can only accept custom requests that are for small modifications to items already in my shop, ie adding a lace trim, changing embellishments and other small changes. From November through to January, I can accept custom order requests that require a little more time.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT MY RETURNS, EXCHANGES AND REFUNDS POLICY

If you've ordered a 'standard' veil (not a custom order) and your veil isn't right, you can return it to my address. There are exclusions to this:

~ CUSTOM ORDERS are FINAL SALE

~ PURE FRENCH SILK TULLE VEILS are FINAL SALE

~ Most of my LACE EDGE VEILS are FINAL SALE due to their intricate nature and the time they take to hand-sew for each bride.

When I receive your veil in perfect condition in its original packaging, I will send you a refund of the purchase price (excluding 'Rush Order' fee if applicable), or make you a replacement.

You must tell me you're going to be returning your veil within 3 days of receiving, and send it back in 7 days.

No returns are accepted after the date of your wedding has passed.

Can I order more than one veil to try on, and then return the veil(s) I don't want to keep?

As every veil is made to order especially for each bride, and because I run Blossom and Bluebird on my own, I'm afraid that I'm not able to accept orders that are for more than one veil where one (or more) will definitely be returned. If my business was large and I had stock of all of my veils on hand for immediate shipping it would be no problem for me to accept such orders, but that's not the case at the present time. I'm sorry about this, and hope you understand my position! I will always offer as much advice and guidance as I can to ensure you choose the right veil.

It is very important that you make sure the address on your order is correct and up to date.

I am not responsible for undelivered packages where you have given an incorrect address, or where you have not updated your address after a move.
