About

I had a dream that I was a beekeeper....

Bees are amazing - there are actually over 430 different species in New York State alone! In 1997, I had a dream that I was a beekeeper so I woke up and said "I need to start a hive!". Over 15 years later, my love for bees and conservation in general makes me who I am -- actually, it makes me feel "whole".

Please check out my field journal blog on www.blossommeadow for things you can do to help pollinators and if you are on the North Fork, please come visit me at the store! Located at 31855 Main Road in Cutchogue, I share the space with Coffee Pot Cellars (winemaker Adam Suprenant -- great wines). At the store/tasting room, check out the observation hive full of bees (May-Nov) and hungry caterpillars turning into butterflies (June-Sept)! Available Blossom Meadow products include beeswax crayons, candles, personal care products, and pollinator-friendly seeds.

I am a conservationist and full-time beekeeper! Amazing how little bees shape the way our world looks and functions. My work continues to branch out into native insect conservation, including orchard mason bees and monarch butterflies.
