My venture into creating jewelry began as an extension of my love for being a professional makeup artist. I have been a makeup artist for over a decade but it was during a short time that I worked for a mineral cosmetic company that custom blended all products for each individual client. Everything was custom blended by hand from the raw ingredients and it was then that I began to look at everything, not just lipsticks and foundation, in a very deconstructed way.

I found myself holding a pair of earrings in my hand one afternoon and seeing not just their beauty as a whole, but each individual component that made up its beauty. Just like all those raw minerals and pigments that were used to "construct" the perfect foundation, blush or lipstick. Within a few short weeks my love affair with beading began and it hasn't faded since.

In addition to making jewelry, I run a Virtual Assistant business called Let Katie Do It! since January of 2020.
