Announcement    Greetings and salutations! Thank you for stopping to brows the uncommon wearable works of glass art found at Blue Karma Beads. I individually formed every piece of glass work you see here in a torch flame, and then used a kiln to temper and anneal each piece. This process is called lampwork, and it allows me to create one of a kind sculptural glass art in all shapes sizes and styles. Here you will find individual beads and pendants, as well as completed earrings, necklaces, and bracelets finished with silks and silver.
It is my hope that you get as much pleasure from wearing and sharing this work as I do from making it. Cheers!

Pleased to be playing with fire.

The story of this etsy shop is a simple one.
Some years back, I had the good fortune to be around other creative folks who were kind enough to let me dabble with their equipment. Being as I didn't have a torch lying around the house, they generously lent me theirs. They also introduced me to a talented and patient bead maker they were acquainted with. Those were the seeds of this venture.
Eventually I invested in my own equipment to make a home studio. And a long period of trial and error, burnt fingers, and broken glass ensued.
A bit further down the line I decided I had somethings worth sharing with others. Etsy has allowed me to put my work out there. I also frequent art shows and festivals whenever they'll have me.
A large part of making this possible is also due to the support and encouragement of a staggering number of crazy wonderful people that I have the privileged to call my family and friends.
I treasure the joy and contentment that comes from creating things. And I look forward endless possibilities to learn and grow.

Thanks for stopping by.
It's been a real treat to meet you.
Cheers.
