For the love of vintage

I’m a late bloomer to the world of vintage and antiques. I didn’t start collecting seriously until about fifteen years ago when we bought a home on the beautiful Hood Canal in Washington State. At that time my husband and I became avid collectors of beach and nautical vintage items as we began decorating our home, and things just grew from there. Boy did they grow!
I was fortunate that my two best friends retired about the same time I did. Every Friday, we’d get up bright and early and start hitting the garage and estate sales. We all collected different types of items, so it was fun to search for our treasures together. Eventually we added flea markets and vintage markets to our sojourns, and I was hooked! My collection grew so large that I began selling at local vintage markets and shows. Around this time, my daughter suggested I look at opening an Etsy shop, and in 2011 I opened my virtual “doors.”
Running my Etsy shop has brought me such joy. I enjoy the hunt for unique items that I can pass along to buyers, and I’ve formed some really great online friendships from buyers to team members through Etsy. It’s also one of the reasons I enjoy participating in vintage shows and markets. Let’s face it, a love of vintage creates a natural and immediate bond!

Items from my shop have been sold to national magazines, television shows, department stores and to wedding planners. I love the items that have sold to individuals who have added them to their personal collections, gave them as gifts, or used them in their weddings. It's so fun when a happy customer sends me a photo of how the item they've purchased from me is being displayed or how it was used or how much it was appreciated if it was a gift for someone else.

I accept most major credit cards via Paypal (preferred) and Etsy Check-Out. Please note that PayPal allows you to use your credit card, PayPal balance or an Echeck to pay for your purchases. It is safe and easy and provides protection for both buyers and sellers. I will issue a shipping refund for any amount over $2.00.

Payment is due within three days of purchase or the order will be cancelled unless I’ve made special arrangements with you. If paying thru PayPal with a check, the payment must clear before I will ship.

If you can’t pay right away, convo me and I’ll put a reserve on the item and hold it for you for three days based on prior arrangements.
I’ll take every precaution to make sure your purchase arrives in the same condition that it leaves my shop. I don’t insure items, but if you are worried about damage or loss please let me know and I’ll send a new invoice that will include costs for insuring your purchase. Most items are shipped USPS standard post or if small enough, via first class. If you need your order quickly let me know prior to purchase and I can adjust the shipping fee on the listing to reflect priority shipping charges.
When it will save you money I will always combine shipping.
Please convo me regarding shipping to Canada or Australia and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible regarding shipping charges to your location. At this time I do not ship to Europe.
I recycle packaging materials whenever possible to keep costs down. I have a non-smoking, pet free home.
Refunds and Exchanges
My goal is for you to be happy with your purchase and with all your dealings at Blue Moon Collectibles.
Vintage items have “been around the block” so they are seldom in perfect condition, however I’ll do my best to list any flaws or imperfections in the item description so please read the descriptions carefully. Send me a note if you have additional questions or would like additional photos and I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.
I do not accept returns. However there are exceptions to every rule so please contact me if you have concerns with your purchase. If it's agreed upon that a return is possible it is important to know that it must occur within 14 days of our original convo.
I'm very careful to list any flaws in the vintage item that I list in my shop. If there is a serious discrepancy in the item you received versus the description of the item then please send me a convo as I'm sure we can work out something that will work for both of us. Please read on.
If your purchase was damaged during shipping and you did not request and pay for insurance in advance of shipment, I will not issue a refund. However, I will take every precaution to make sure that it is packed to perfection so that this should never be a problem. In the case of highly breakable items I will pay for the insurance and it is also important to note that USPS priority mail already includes insurance to $50.00. If you have any questions let me know.
