Ich nehme meine "Kunst" nicht ernst, und Sie sollten es auch nicht tun.
Kunst muss doch nicht ernst gemeint sein, oder? Meine lächerliche Volkskunst Faux Taxidermy passt in die Rechnung. Diese Idee begann als Satire auf die traditionelle Wildtierpräparation. Ich habe die falsche Taxidermie auf eine neue Ebene gebracht, eine, die Hähne betont. Es hat jetzt ein Eigenleben entwickelt, und in einigen Kreisen bin ich jetzt als "That Crazy Chicken Lady" bekannt. Seitdem habe ich mich über Hühner hinaus in die Welt der Ziegen, Schweine, Dachse, Bisons, Kühe und Füchse erweitert. Jede meiner Faux Taxidermy Skulpturen ist handgefertigt aus recycelten und upgecycelten Materialien. Absolut kein Blutvergießen war an der Erschaffung dieser Kreaturen beteiligt! Sie könnten sogar als vegan angesehen werden.
In Wirklichkeit bin ich ein Restaurierungsökologe und Landschaftsgärtner im Blackfoot Valley von Montana. Wenn ich nicht unterwegs sein kann, um Weiden zu sammeln und einheimische Sträucher entlang der Flussufer Montanas zu pflanzen, amüsiere ich mich in meinem kleinen Atelier und mache skurrile Volkskunst.
Zusätzlich zu meinen Pappmaché-Skulpturen erschaffe ich Filzkreaturen, Volkskunstgemälde und eine Vielzahl von kleinen Geschenkartikeln. Schauen Sie immer wieder bei mir vorbei, da ich ständig neue Ideen habe.

I don’t take my ‘art’ seriously, and neither should you.
Art doesn’t have to be serious, does it? My ridiculous folk art Faux Taxidermy fits the bill. This idea started as a satire on traditional wildlife taxidermy. I've taken faux taxidermy to a new level, one that emphasizes roosters. It has now taken on a life of its own, and in some circles I am now known as ‘That Crazy Chicken Lady’. I've since expanded beyond chickens, into the world of goats, pigs, badgers, bison, cows and foxes. Each of my Faux Taxidermy sculptures is hand built using recycled and upcycled materials. Absolutely no bloodshed was involved in the creation of these creatures! They might even be considered vegan.
In reality I am a restoration ecologist and landscaper in the Blackfoot Valley of Montana. When I can’t be out collecting willows and planting native shrubs along Montana’s streambanks, I amuse myself in my little studio making whimsical folk art.
In addition to my paper mache sculptures, I create felted creatures, folk art paintings and a variety of small gift items. Keep checking back with me, as I've got new ideas sprouting all the time.
