BlueTeddy's Shop Announcement

Welcome to my shop, in the South West of France, not far from the Pyrenees. Check my prices, they are the most competitive on Etsy for high quality rugs. Shipping of parcels is only 5 days to the USA.

I offer a selected variety of items in the shop, both vintage and handmade. My aim is to keep prices low so that everyone has a chance to own one of these beautiful items. I stock colourful and exotic (and useful) rugs, kilims and throws hand loomed in the East, particularly in Pakistan but also Aghanistan and Uzbekistan. Each one is unique and special and will add colour and panache to your home. Lots of new items are constantly being added! The Suzanis (embroidered wall hangings) are from Tashkent and Samarkand and the shawls are from the Kashmir border.

The word kilim simply means a flat woven rug, or a rug without a knotted pile. Instead, the thread or yarns are woven in a flat manner on the warp strings, so they don’t have pile. Unlike hand-knotted rugs, kilims have more than just floor covering use. Some are very sturdy, some lighter - with the latter I always recommend using a grippy underpad to stop the kilim slipping when you hoover!

Kilims and suzanis are a wonderful way to bring vibrant colour and patterns to your walls and floors.

I welcome queries and will try to help with fuller descriptions of items. I welcome combined shipping too and will do my best to acheive the best price. I always refund any excess shipping paid.

All goods will be well wrapped and posted within a day or two of ordering. Parcels arrive within 5 - 7 days in the USA.

BlueTeddy's Shop Policies

I aim to make all my buyers happy buyers. I try to answer all questions honestly and describe the items very thoroughly. If you look at my feedback you will also see that I do go that extra mile when it comes to swift postage and great packaging.

I accept Paypal payments. Echeques are ok, I don't mind waiting.

Now that I have moved to France from the UK, for sending the larger parcels I use Colissimo, the parcels section of the French Post Office to the States and all countries as it is hard to find couriers in rural France. They have proved to be most efficient. For the small packets I use La Poste, the French P.O.

I always send a refund via Paypal if the postage proves to be less than what I have quoted.

Refunds and Exchanges

I Cannot accept returned goods from outside France as the postage/shipping from the US back to France (or from other countries) is so high it makes returns totally unfeasible.

So please be sure you want the item before buying. I try to describe them accurately and advise people to zoom in if in doubt. I do not sell poor quality items.

I have had some bad experiences when I used to accept returns, which is why I don't any more. I even once had a buyer use an item for photo shoots then return it! Foolish me.

SO, I advise overseas buyers that if in the rare possibility they are unhappy with an item I cannot accept a return. I advise that they resell an item on Ebay or something similar. But rarely has anyone been unhappy.
