Perhaps it was all of those beautiful days spent creating art as a duo, or was it the LOVE of Service? Was it being surrounded by art?~ its creators?~ its admirers?~ that led to the creation of Bluebird Rose Art Studio? Undoubtedly it was all three!

First one, then two...now nine!!! summers ago, on Joanna Rose's 10th birthday, we visited our local sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation center. We learned of the hospital's expansion plan and how they encourage individual "families" to raise $1,000 for the sweet sea turtles. Joanna Rose viewed this newly found knowledge as an opportunity for service learning and personal growth. "Mommy, can we start a studio so you can finally sell your artwork again and we can make stuff together and sell it for the new sea turtle hospital?!?" "Yes!" was the immediate answer!!!

🌹 Mother~Artist, Patrice Melodie, is a self~taught late bloomer that did not have the same talent in childhood that she grew to possess as a twentysomething. She finds herself always questioning which comes first; the talent, or the thing you love to do? “In creating I find my peace, and share my lifelong love of taking ‘nothing’ and forming ‘something.'"

🌹Joanna Rose, is a Singer~Songwriter~Musician and Artist. Equally talented on piano and harp, she possesses a “distinctly musical disposition.” She is a self-motivated exceptional student consistently achieving Magna Cum Laude status and the inspiration behind Bluebird Rose Art Studio.

🌹All sculpture is created without the use of molds using a cotton process Mother~Artist first developed over twenty-five years ago. The process is reminiscent of spun cotton, but different and unique to Bluebird Rose Art Studio. Everything is made by hand; flowers, instruments, clothes, etc; using cotton, paper, wire, clay, and acrylics. Joanna Rose designs absolutely wonderful fairy wings using shrink~art material, colored pencils, and paint pens.
