I've Been an Etsy Seller for Over 1/5 of My Life - Whoa!
I opened my shop over a decade ago, and when I think about it, I've had an Etsy store for more than a fifth of my life! It's wild to realize, and hard to wrap my head around, considering how much I've poured into it over the years.
That being said, a lot can change in a decade. I went from taking my first steps as an entrepreneur, knowing almost nothing, to proudly becoming one of Etsy's top .03% of worldwide sellers. Along the way, my journey was filled with triumphs, countless setbacks, and remarkable milestones that have become a core part of who I am.
Since making my first sale in 2012, I've now surpassed 33,000 sales on Etsy. The platform has helped me expand my reach, and today I supply wholesale products to businesses across the United States!
My store currently supports my entire family, and I teach others how to start their own Etsy shops from my experience. I love paying it forward.
Throughout my time on Etsy, I've discovered so much about myself and my potential. I've grown not only as a business owner but also as a person. The responsibility, creativity, and boldness required to run an Etsy shop have been incredibly empowering. It’s also taught me patience and the importance of adapting, especially as my designs and ideas are frequently copied by other vendors—staying unique and relevant is a constant challenge.
This year, I turned 50, and running my store keeps me sharp, motivated, and excited. I'm always learning—whether it's about tech, graphic design, marketing trends, or research. I trust myself to bring ideas to life, from concept to creation.
What I love most is connecting with people in a genuine, delightfully surprising way through my products. It's a true source of joy for me!
