A Bogdon Cardboard Box Upright Bass isn't a replacement for high quality materials and skilled craftsmanship, but rather it's a crazy fun bass to see, hear, and play.

The bridge is set very close to the body so the strings are comfortably low.

The neck is narrow. My first prototype had just two strings tuned to E and A. Many potential customers requested a four string bass, but the neck would have top be wider so i settled on three strings. I personally prefer the two-string box bass tuned to A-D. I also enjoy the sweet absurdity of not having four strings to play. It feels different. Some things are easier to play, and yet some things are more difficult without four strings. No one will stop playing their preferred normal bass. The box bass is an eye catching thing. every performance always ends as a hands on box bass clinic. Even most haters want to try it out.

The box bass video features a small Crate Amplifier off to the far left. The camera had a built in mic and i simply sang and played the song.
