Together, we elevate snail mail.

I've always, always, always loved getting mail. (Well, not bills, but you know what I mean.)

I have a mother and aunt who have never let a birthday or special event slip by without a card and pen pals that don't let a week go by without delivering some blinged-out, washi-encrusted snail mail.

Bohtieque began when my lovely sister couldn't find any cute address labels and told me I needed to start my own shop so that she could buy some labels from me. Since I already did identity design (and advised an amazing high school yearbook staff), I put my design skills to good use and opened my shop in 2008.

Now, Bohtieque is the source of beautiful, artistic and inspirational labels and stickers for snail mailers, party-throwers and classroom parents. I design and proof each order, and I strives for quality and great customer service.

Because I know how important high quality is to my clients, I work with a professional printing partner to finish and ship each order with the highest standards.

Bohtieque Design is a one-woman custom label, invite and card shop. I don't aim to become the next Hallmark, but instead like working closely with one client at a time.

PROOFS

Proofs are sent via Etsy convo (conversation) within 36 hours after payment. You must approve your proofs via the Etsy conversation page before shipping.

FOR FINISHED PRINTED ITEMS

Bohtieque works with a professional printing partner to bring you the highest quality customized stationery.

Returns and exchanges

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
One monitor will display color differently from another; please take this into consideration when ordering. I cannot guarantee that what you receive or print at home will have the exact colors of what you see on your screen.

FOR FINISHED PRINTED ITEMS
Although everything possible is done to ensure that labels are perfectly aligned, there are some variations in alignment. Nothing is shipped that I wouldn't be proud to use.

Because clients approve proofs before they are printed and mailed, refunds can only be made if an error is made after the final proofs are approved. Items are not guaranteed to be waterproof--we are dealing with paper, after all :) Toner, however, is water-resistant and won't run under normal use.

If your proof is not approved within 2 business days, your labels will be shipped. If corrections are needed, the client will be responsible for the cost of shipping and reprints.
Payment
Payments must be made on the day of purchase via PayPal. Wisconsin and California residents must pay sales tax.

Please note that you'll need to pay for the item before a proof is issued and the order printed and shipped.
Shipping
FOR PRINTABLES
Printable items will be delivered digitally in 1-2 days.

FOR FINISHED PRINTED ITEMS

Shipments are shipped via USPS Parcel Post with tracking.

Once they are shipped, USPS's delivery target is 3-5 days for domestic first class mail; however, from time to time some packages take longer.

Although many packages arrive within a few days, a few take longer. Please plan 2-3 weeks for delivery for first class or priority domestic if you have a special event--just in case!

Orders paid for with PayPal eChecks will be shipped when PayPal reports the payment has cleared.

Paper items are shipped in a padded and waterproof sleeve to ensure the safety of your stationery.

International customers: Please be aware that you are responsible for any additional customs fees. In addition, be aware that delivery may take 2-6 weeks.

I own the copyright to all my designs. Proofs provided to customers remain the property of Bohtieque Design, LLC. They can not be used for resale without prior consent.
Privacy
Information I Collect

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order of address labels, for example), if you contact me directly.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:

as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;

when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;

if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and

as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as

1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest toimprove my services; and

2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.

Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies and printers. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.

Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.

Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

Data Retention

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 7 years.

Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU

I store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.

Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.

Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.

Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

Will the color look exactly like what I see on my screen?
