Announcement   Hi and Welcome to Bonbon!!

All my jewellery, soap dishes and wall hearts are individually handmade by me in my studio at Evans Head, NSW. I use the best glues, and findings I can find in Australia and locally sourced if possible. Sometimes the colours are slightly different due to personal computer screen resolution and colour settings on the camera. I find reds are hard to capture, so I do my best to get the right colour. And remember! All my work is handmade and one off! Happy shopping and thanks for visiting!

About

Embrace colour. It's your friend.

I remember as a teenager I would have my whole bedroom draped in the brightest upholstery and curtain fabrics that mum would get on the throw out tables in interior design shops. That love of colour has flowed through me ever since I remember and when I make my ceramic jewellery and home wares I just want to try every colour out there. The glazes available are just amazing and allow me to experiment and play with combinations that allow the surface of the clay to tell a story.

Imprinted with old doilies, vintage lace and indian ink blocks, the clay I use is white earthenware and this allows the colours to be shown in their truest intensity. The glaze sits in the imprints and pools to create a deeper colour giving the surface a magic quality. A lovely surprise every time I open the kiln.

How nice is it to be surprised everyday! Enjoy! Embrace colour... It's your friend.

As an artist I try to work as organically as I can. Colour is something that pulses through me & needs to be expressed. There is nothing like ceramic glazes to allow the vibrancy of colour to come alive. Embrace colour. Its your friend.
