Who would ever think that a Roadkill Rabbit would be so adorable? I don’t know how Sofie can listen to one of my kooky ideas and turn it into something otherworldly! I could hold him and spin his little winged cap all day long! I’m at a loss for words. I don’t know how Sofie can improve on perfection, but she always does! Is it something in the air? Noooo. It’s pure and simple HooDoo-VooDoo Magik!! It must be. Sofie is NOT human! She just can’t be. I refuse to think that she is from this world. And I STILL keep all the boxes because they are so delightfully wrapped.

What’s all this fuss about someone getting married across the pond? As far as I’m concerned, FrankenKat getting to marry his Bride is the ONLY wedding EXTRAVAGANZA of the Century! I was going to post a photo of the groom by himself but I had to include part of the wedding party. Some people might think they look like Monsters. But I know they’re MASTERPIECES! Thank you so much Priestess Sofya! I could go on and on all day about how WONDERFUL you are. Sofie is truly one of a kind. ALL HALE, PRIESTESS SOFYA! We bend the knee to thee!

This picture doesn’t do Doktor Plaguenstein justice. He’s magnificent and is the perfect Poupette to act as Solemnizer for the wedding of FrankenKat and his Bride. He DID create them after all. Actually, Sofie created EVERYONE but she’s letting Doktor Plaguenstein take credit. That’s just the way Sofie is! Sofie has done it again! She’s the ONLY one who can make my dreams come true!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Welcome to the Menagerie of Inscrutable Magic

"Bonjour Poupette" is what your French fairy godmother says every time she greets you, with a smile on her face.

"Bonjour Poupette" could be translated as "Hello Little One" but to me it means that you are recognized and loved, right now, for all that you are.

And yes, "Bonjour Poupette" is a menagerie of enchanting little animal people - 'Habitants délicats des forêts de nous-memes. (Sensitive inhabitants of the forests of ourselves.)' - Jules Supervielle

My Poupettes are spirited renditions of animal people and other magical creatures. Every figurine has a unique personality that emerges as I work, which truly makes them one-of-a-kind. Indeed, they have evolved over time and will certainly continue to do so. This is why I take the time to photograph each figurine, list them individually and only make items to order by request. I list new figurines regularly and make a limited number of custom orders each month.

Each figurine is made one at a time, by hand. I sculpt them with a premium, non-toxic, heat-cured, polymer-based modeling compound. I custom blend the polymer with pigment, mica, and metallic leaf to create unique colors and textures. Although polymer can be painted, I prefer the challenge of creating color variations through meticulous layering and blending of the material itself and rarely use paint. Properly cured polymer is an exquisite archival material and you can expect your Poupette to endure for generations.

Frequently asked questions

Do you accept custom and personalized orders?

Yes, I accept a limited number of custom orders every month. I require payment to schedule the shipping date and I send photos when it is completed. Please contact me for more information.

Do you accept payment plans?

Yes, I am happy to offer a payment plan by request. Let me know what kind of payment arrangement will work best for you and we can discuss the details.

Wedding Cake Topper Questions

CAN I PLACE THIS DIRECTLY ON A CAKE WITHOUT A BASE? Yes, my figurines are made of non-toxic polymer and are not painted or varnished, as the pigment is permanently suspended in the polymer. Therefore, they can stand directly on a cake and won't be damaged by (or damage) your cake. They are waterproof, and can be carefully hand-washed with a gentle soap as needed.

WHAT IS THE IDEAL SIZE FOR A WEDDING CAKE TOPPER? The ideal size of a wedding cake topper depends on the proportions of the cake and especially the height and width of the top tier. If you have more information on the dimensions of the cake I am happy to advise you about the ideal size of a topper and work with you to design the perfect pair for you.

My item is a gift, can it be packaged accordingly?

Yes, all of my figurines arrive in a handsome gift box with a descriptive card, ready for giving or receiving! I'm happy to include a gift tag or your message to the recipient by request.

How long will it take for my order to ship?

I ship all orders (with the exception of custom and express mail orders) within 1-3 business days of purchase. If you are on a tight deadline, or purchase express shipping - please contact me directly to me know and I'll get it out ASAP. Otherwise, I ship Mondays and Thursdays, with the exception of USPS holidays, when I ship the day after.

Can you tell me about shipping to U.S. addresses?

Shipping to U.S. addresses takes from 2-5 days, depending on the shipping mode selected at checkout and how far you are from a major city. All of my shipments include a USPS Tracking Number which is automatically sent via e-mail as soon as the package has shipped. Priority Mail packages are automatically insured up to $100. Signature Confirmation is required for purchases over $50 and shipping to apartment buildings to prevent theft. Priority Mail Express Shipping is available at checkout and takes 1-2 business days.

Do you include paper invoices in your packages?

You will receive a digital invoice/receipt for your order through Etsy. For packages shipped within the U.S., I do not include a paper invoice, but if you would like one, just let me know and I'll be happy to include one. I am required by law to include 1-3 paper invoices with the purchase price in my packages for all international orders.

Do you ship internationally? How long does it take?

Yes, I regularly ship to countries all over the world. Delivery to addresses outside of the U.S. usually takes between 2-4 weeks, depending on the type of shipping selected at checkout. Be advised that actual transit times vary by destination and are not guaranteed. I urge international buyers be aware of how your local Customs and Postal Service operates before making a purchase. In my experience, parcels shipped to countries in Central America, South America and Africa can take up to four months to arrive. For these countries, I highly recommend purchasing Express Mail shipping at checkout, which will expedite shipping.

Can you mark my item as 'Gift' or alter the cost on the customs form?

No, I cannot mark international items as "gifts" or alter the cost of goods. All customs forms are accurately labeled 'Merchandise' with the actual cost of the item in compliance with international law. I cannot predict nor can I be responsible for delays in customs or any additional fees or taxes that may be charged by your local jurisdiction.

In the event of damage, what do I do?

For minor repairs, I recommend using a cyanoacrylate (super glue) gel (I recommend Loctite Gel). If a figurine arrives damaged from shipping, I will repair or replace the figurine depending on the amount of damage. Simply let me know and ship it back to me, preferably in its original packaging. I will refund the shipping cost to cover the unforeseen expense and repairing your piece will be my number one priority as soon as it arrives. My turnaround time will be 1-3 days.
