A little about me

I've been sewing for over 20 years, and selling online for about 14 years. I enjoy making historical clothing from the pioneer and colonial eras. Some of the items I make are-pioneer dresses, bonnets and aprons, colonial dresses and caps, boys colonial outfits (shirts, waistcoats and knee breeches), and colonial/pirate shirts and waistcoats for adults.

Custom orders are welcome, I have other fabrics available that aren't shown here. Contact me and I can send a picture of what I have available.

I enjoy collecting fabric, vintage dishes and vintage sewing machines. I use the vintage sewing machines in making the pioneer and colonial clothing. My current favorites are my Singer 401A, Singer 99K and a Singer 201. These are great sewing machines, Singer made them to last a long time!

I use a serger to finish all exposed seams. All the items I make are hand or machine washable on gentle cycle in cold water, and line or tumble dry on low heat unless otherwise stated in the listing. The pioneer and colonial clothing may need touching up with an iron after laundering. The bonnets have extra layers of fabric in the brim to make them stiffer, ironing with a little spray starch will also help stiffen the brim.
